Who else watches this show just for laughs...


at how ridiculous conspiracy theories are? One of the funniest things to me is how the interviewees are always so secretive and afraid for the lives of themselves and family, yet thought always show up on camera.

Yeah usually I watch it for laughs and it never fails to provide at least a couple. The only episode where I actually agreed with the 'conspiracy' viewpoint is the one on Wall Street. I love how most of the interviewees behave, and as you say their secretiveness. A lot of the meetings in all the episodes are so stereotypical, right out of a bad X files episode, complete with vans, abandoned parking garages and cigarette smoking. My favorite "expert" so far is the guy who always says "How very astute of you" when someone agrees with and repeats what he said. He's been in a few episodes, don't remember exactly which ones.

People who do not think or have anything to back up their claims that there are not any conspiracies.

The farm animals that are already brainwashed into believing anything without thinking.

In short, non-thinking, farm animals watch to just laugh.

The show is entertaining on several levels.

You don't have to be a "farm animal" to watch it.

If you have a brain you can separate the fact from the fiction in the show.

Like in the JFK one the "smoking gun" was a recording of someone talking about the "big event" - for a death bed confession it was very vague

That is the key to enjoying Conspiracy Theory. You have to take each episode on its own merits, as well as the individual claims in those episodes. Some are interesting, some are scary, and some are funny as hell.

Well whilst I've only watched one episode and don't like it's style, I understand that it's only trying to appeal to the lowest common denominator in a desperate hope to show them the world they really live in.

Shame that the lowest common denominator is THAT dumbed down that all they can do is laugh.

We'll only get what we deserve.

I think the way the show is shot is what makes it ridiculous. It's so overly dramatic. They call the room they all meet in Jesse's "War Room"? Give me a break! During promos for the show it looks like he's talking from some secret underground bunker (presumably to give the show a mysterious feel), it's all pretty cheesy. The cheesiest part of every show, though, is when Jesse Ventura finally "confronts" whoever is believed to be responsible for the conspiracies. So fake! He'd never be allowed within a hundred yards of these people with his camera crew behind him. What a crock!

I've only seen the first episode so far, but it was amazing. Granted I'm sure there are plenty of irregularities and mysteries befind that HAARP thing (and probably all of the other things in the show), but the way that information is presented is nothing short of hilarious.

There were so many great moments, but the best bit had to be Jesse saying, "so, in layman's terms, you're talking about an invisible death ray." Or maybe it was him using that MIND CONTROL device that guy made, and then saying (or maybe the awesome voiceover guy said it), "now Jesse has sampled the power of HAARP first hand..."

So good. I think this and Steven Seagal: Lawman are the best two televisions programmes to come out in the past decade.

I think it's great. Only seen the harp episode but will check out others for sure!

Love how they dramatize it so much. Haven't laughed so much in a long while...this is what entertainment is all about and after a long day at work it's nice to turn my brain off and watch something like this.

If I didn't laugh I'd cry. The amount of people who actually totally believe this stuff is massive and growing by the day...almost like a new religion of sorts. They really need to start pushing science harder and from younger ages in schools.

Haha, some of it makes you wonder, but a lot of it... well. One of my friends is obssesed with the stuff; he thinks lizard people are running the world and that there is a secret base on the moon. And other things our friend Jesse would approve of.

I have to say I am a little disappointed with the show, though. I was initialy expecting it to be Jesse telling you what a bunch of crap these things all are and how stupid liberals are for believing them, and for people to get lives. But I guess the reality is just as good.

Yeah... and the Sleeper Assassins episode wasn't ridiculous? Oh my god, that *beep* was awful. The so-called Sleeper Assassin agrees to talk with a television show!? I mean... at least put on something else than sweatpants if you want the retards to believe you. And the goat-killer? HAHAHAHAHA... it's *beep* hilarious!

I have to admit tho: a few of the episodes were quiet interesting. Some interesting facts were presented.

It wouldn't take much science to drive a semi trailer through all the holes in these loopy conspiracy theories. Any real scientist / engineer would be wasting their time debunking most of them, it would be an exorcise in both the obvious and futility.

People who believe in conspiracy theories tend to already have their mind made up. For example if 99.9% of the worlds Structural engineers (the people on this planet most qualified to understand building design from the aspect of structural integrity and collapse), went on record publically supporting what really happened on 9/11, ie the official report of what brought down the 3 buildings, and 0.1% of the worlds Structural engineers agreed with likes of Charlie Sheen, which side would the majority of "truthers" agree with?

A. The side with 99.9% of the scientific support (those that really matter)

or

B. The side with 0.1% of the scientific support and Charlie, Jesse, Alex

Which is ironic since it was the qualified scientists, engineers, pilots, etc who were the ones who called BS to the 9/11 official story, and in high numbers, when they saw the report and formed all these groups about it. I can't find even ONE reliable expert anywhere who agrees with the 9/11 official story. The official story is mainly backed up by morons with their cartoon physics who likely hates Islamic people. Heard 88% of the people the US police used physical force on were blacks alone. The other racial minorities probably makes up the rest of that remaining percentage. Clearly there are a bunch of racists backing up the US government.

Out of all the structural engineers in the world, only a miniscule percentage (less than 0.1%) have publicly stated support for any kind of controlled demolition nonsense. You can crunch the numbers yourself. Something that was so "obvious", but for some reason almost the entire engineering community remains quiet? Most importantly, not a single accredited engineering school has ever backed the nonsense espoused by the tin foil crowd, not one, and they never will.

Some application of scientific method and principles of critical thinking could at least have put them in context, though, and balanced out some of the credulousness.

I started watching the show on YouTube just last night, saw a few episodes, and gave up in frustration because nobody's thinking before they recreate. OK, it probably saves screen time, and suits the target audience mindset, to say things like "They tell me that ..." -- but who exactly are "they"? Where did "they" get their info from, and how do "they" know it's true? What makes them believable or trustworthy, and the ones the show identifies as "enemy" not trustworthy?

One way or another, the show is de facto teaching people how to think about these things (or not). By going the "believe anything uncritically" route, that's the mindset it's modelling. It seems pretty clear the point of the show was to be sensational, but it could have actually been constructive as well, without sacrificing the entertainment value.

I served in the army over 20 years ago, I know what martial law is, and it's obvious you don't. Martial law is military imposed enforcement when civilian authority has lost control. States and cities asking for more security is NOT martial law. It's the state asking for assistance, but it is still under civilian rule.

You're purposely being ignorant, because I said I served 20 years ago, but not for 20 years. Also, look up the definition of martial law, because the government is run by civilians, not soldiers. You are wrong, and obviously into stupid conspiracy crap.

The only thing you are being reasonable about is the gun control, but this and abortion issues have always been two of the biggest hit points in politics which help a candidate win or lose an election.

With no tax income from workers,the Fed will have to threaten other countries for "free" supplies.How long will that work? well this show labels the bad guys as government but the real truth is the bad guys are people behind it. most people think the gvnmt or their president is the supreme power, but there people you don't heard about way powerful than your president/Obama. these guys decide what goes on.

the show sometimes exaggerated things but everything its actually in the real.

the best part of all? the show is even modest on some atrocities committed with these black projects.

There's one fatal flaw in all of your conspiracy theories: the soldiers and police forces of America aren't some mindless robots that do whatever their bosses tell them no matter how ridiculous. Soldiers and police officers and the like are human beings that can make their own decisions. Now you tell me, without saying they are all chipped or brainwashed or something, you tell me that there wouldn't be a huge resistance to any kind of unjust martial law within the organizations doing the work. Do you think police officers would forcibly herd their family and friends into FEMA death camps?

And EVEN IF, for whatever conspiratorial reason, the military and police forces would do whatever the government told them, you have to realize that THERE ARE SAFEGUARDS IN PLACE FOR THIS SORT OF THING. There's something called the "Balance of Power", in which, neither the President, nor the House, nor the Senate, nor the Supreme Court, and ESPECIALLY non-elected government bodies like the FBI, FEMA, and the CIA, can do anything that goes against the constitution. And for this I point you to the Fourth Amendment to the Constitution, and I quote:

"The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized."

And Section One of the Fourteenth Amendment:

"All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside. No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws."

Now you may say "lol useless paper", but my last point is that America isn't alone in the world, and I guarantee you that if our government were to take over the country and force people into FEMA death camps, that oppressive government would go the way of Nazi Germany.

That was longer than I was planning, but I think I got my point across.

Good post. I've had to explain to conspiracy idiots that soldiers, I was one and many guys I know are still serving wouldn't start rounding up their neighbors to be thrown in cells for execution.

The fact that Jesse himself was in the military and was a governor PROVES the point even further. Yeah, he's a conspiracy nut, but why wasn't he brainwashed by the government?
