No one thought to hold hands???

Its kind of ridiculous that NOBODY thought to hold hands! Even when down to the last 2 people they're only solution was to try and stare at each other without blinking. I get that's title (don't blink).. But holding hands and keeping physical contact with each other seems like it should've been one of the first ideas...

I was thinking that same exact thing. There was never a scene where the rules of vanishing was made clear to the characters. It seems like holding hands in a big circle would have been worth a shot.

Despite its flaws I actually enjoyed this movie but I agree with you. In fact, I said the exact same thing to the friend I was watching with at one point. Sit in a circle holding hands. Boom problem solved.

Well, Charlotte was sitting right next to Sam in the car when he disappeared, so it seemed to me at that point that close physical proximity wouldn't help - maybe not even touching, as "looking" had at least seemed to be the key. But I'd think that given his crazed state and his having the gun she'd have had her eye on him in the car. And Jack and Claire were looking at Charlotte when she disappeared, as she'd caught their attention by speaking. Confusing.

I thought this, too, but maybe still they could vanish if you didn't look at them, for all we know. of course there is no answer because of the dumb non-ending.

I was pleasantly surprised when they decided to try getting gas from all tanks and combining, though, as it's the first time I can think of where I thought of something obvious someone should try in this type of movie and them actually do it. In the movie Frozen (I think that was the name of it... where people are trapped on a ski lift) there are probably 100 obvious things they could try that they did NOT try, for instance.

They were most likely scared they'd be pulled into whatever if the other person was taken.

You have a point there, and they/some may not have wanted to do so, but it seems that someone would have at least made the suggestion.
