Ok, Im a hardcore fan but... (SPOILERS)

at the end i was like WTF?? I liked the movie, I love BSS, I like the photography and the way they mix the concert with the story but the end, but the end.

The whole movie this guy is deeply in "love" with the girl of his life, they meet again, they *beep* they go to see BSS, you feel for them because the next day she has leave, you see how they get closer, then they fight, she leaves the concert, he trys to find her but doesnt, so he stays sad.
Later at home, he is whining about how he messed everything up, how he could ve lost her... bla bla bla, he is with his friend there, he tells him he didnt do anything wrong and that if its meant to be, it will be.
Then he tells him he is so hot and that if he is still wasted, the start to kissing, then the *beep* and cuddle the doorbell rings, its the girl, you see how happy he is to see her at his door, they go to his bedroom, the other guy is sleep, the 3 of them on the bed. Now he shows her a video of the end of the gig she missed; and thats it.
then he says later she sent him a song that represents their relantionship... Lovers spit, a song about giving head...

So thats sort of the movie, the gay thing wasnt there to me... never see it coming. Actually its wasnt even believeable of the carachters, if at least you had a tiny hint from the begining of the movie, he may has feeling for his dude, but no.

Anyway I was so exited for this movie, but I knew the story would kill for me, and it kinda did.
Now I just want an official DVD of BSS Harbourfront concert!

Oh, I've just started a new topic kind of demanding that DVD. It would be great, right?

Or they could both just be bisexuals (or at least Bruno could be) who had drunken, meaningless friend rebound sex like Bruno and Caroline did at the beginning of the movie.

The movie sucked
The only thing it had going for it was the photography and music, it's easily one of the most boring films i've ever seen.

I totally agree. I was also disappointed by Don McKellar (as scriptwriter) as well ("Blindness" was brilliant). I was hoping for something more like "In Search of a Midnight Kiss" with performances by BSS, but the whole love story was absolutely shallow and throwaway. And the gay thing was ridiculous and came totally out of left field. Yes, I find the thought of watching two guys together nauseating, but I'm probably one of the least homophobic people around and loved the original British Queer as Folk (the US series is crap) even though it had far more explicit stuff than this film. But I don't care what hipsters claim: such instant bisexuality is a load of BS. Besides, the guy was in love with this girl for ages and just had his heart broken. He wouldn't be all happy happy joy joy hey I'm gay, oh there's my crush, lets spend our last few hours together cramped in a bed with another guy and watch a phone video while he sleeps. Suuuure. Brilliant musical performances though. It would have been better with more BSS and less BS.

As for her video, I think it was more about the images. All I could take from it is that she still sees them as the platonic friends they were as kids, and that she has more of a sisterly love for him. Agreed, though: if that's the case, the song didn't really fit at all. Even ignoring the lyrics, its too much of sensual song, not a sentimental "hey, I love hanging out on the playground with you" song.
