I agree with so many of the other posts in that this may be one of the most underated shows of the Disney/Nick era of youth entertainment. If it had not been buried on XD it would have been more popular. I know he competition for best live action show on XD is not really that stiff. Zeke and Luther being a good show and Kicking It being okay the rest are very forgetable.

The key in any show where the premise is silly and fanciful (for way old people think ALF) the key to make it work is that the actors are able to play it strait. It is rare in a youth show where the supporting cast (especially Chow and Ochoa) does a really good job and are not just there. The subtle obliviousness of the Kings to their own stupidity and danger from Lanny makes the show great.

Losing Musso hurt the last season but it still was okay. I do miss the show and I am sad as XD is slowing pulling it from its rotation on replay. Do we really need 4 replays of Jessie daily.

Haha I totally agree, the show was friggin' hilarious! I usually don't like dumb humor but Mitchell Musso, Doc Shaw, and the supporting cast just played it perfectly. The kings' interactions with Lanny were really well-nuanced, too. It was like magic, the minute Mitchell Musso left, the show lost what made it work. Too bad it didn't get more attention during its prime.
