A Film About 2 Self Important Dullards
This film was just painful in its portrayal of the self-importance of the modern person. The guyvwas just a l caricatures of everyone's most hated Facebook 'friend'. A self obsessed idiot who elevates himself above everyone realise whilst simultaneously being the most uninspiring person on the planet. His sister was just a slut - painting herself as some deeply troubled person incapable of escaping her 'demons'. I don't think I've ever seen two more unlikable people on film.
It was also the worst use of the 'normie who doesn't fit in' trope I've ever seen. The husband was painted as someone who was just far too 'regular' to fit in with such a fascinating pair of siblings, and yet he was the most interesting character there.
An epic rights off passage tale for the self obsessed generation.
