This movie is .. let's say dumb. there is a great review on the homepage of imdb about this movie and I totally agree with it.
This movie is such a rerereharsed stuff. suicide+child molesting+suicide+homosexuality+failedrelationship = some stuff very "deep", very clever... Well no it's not it's almost crap.
It seems they put all the subjects that people love in independant movies in a shaker and made this movie.. Very bad , almost too commercial, it's like a stereotype of independent movie.
Then I was so pissed off when they say "child molester" about a guy that was about 25 and had a relationship ( it seems didnt even had sex) with a 15 teen.
At 15 you arent a Child! I had a boyfriend who was 16 when I was 22 or 23 , and his mother drove him to my place to stay overnight knowning of course that i was his BF. Americans are so retarded on theses subjects... anyway..
The scuba teacher is so hot :) only good thing of this movie

Oh I see " GWBush" lol. Thank "god" educated people knows the difference between pedophilia and homosexuality. to state the obvious Im not from your tight ass country and it is legal here that people 15 and above can do what the hell they want with their ass!

You are right. In many countries, 15 is still a "child" and is considered statutory rape. Part of the reason is to protect teens because they are considered a vulnerable population. There is a HUGE power disparity between 15 and 23! Especially in countries of the free world where maturation is slower due to longer life expectancy.
Furthermore, most countries acknowledge peer-to-peer consensual sex as legal. However 15 and 23-year olds are not peers (unless there are developmental delays, then that gets a little more philosophical...).

shareyes this is a dark movie, but considering the story and the actors i think it was a huge hit. ending was a little weird but so are bill hader and kristen wig. if you dont get that then dont watch the movie. the only thing im pissed about was watching the trailer first lol they didnt add much to the scenes where i thought we were going to see their characters flourish, but then again its not a comedy. all in all still an amazing flick.
