why is the lead always white?

In these times of enforced affirmative action, you have a black character, and asian character, etc but the main character is still white? isn't this hypocritical?

reply

Forget it Cake, it's Chinatown.

reply

lolol

reply

Cos we wanna get away from your PC/SJW CRAP, we're SICK of it.

reply

then why is the supporting cast colored?

reply

Forgive them, they're colorblind.

reply

Leading character always white?
Django wasn't white in Django Unchained.
Shaft wasn't white in Shaft.
Robert Neville isn't white in I am Legend.
I could go on , but I think you must get that you are talking out of your arse by now, yes?

reply

Racist much???

reply

Imagine if some white dude went to China and said why are all the main characters Chinese? We need white people in it. Oh boy. But not in the west, it's always less whites the better mentality.

When it's a white character, people complain. When it's a minority character, it's plastered all over the entertainment news as racial change/shift/progress or whatever shtick to celebrate a person of color. Speaking of which, is white not considered a person of color? White not a color? *gasp*

reply

If we want to get technical, white is the perception of all colors combined, while black is the perception of the absence of color. So white people should really be the ones that we call people of color.

reply

Wait, really? But when I combine a bunch of colors with play-doh to represent diversity, all I get is a dark mushy brownish color. D:

Joke aside, if we're talking color spectrums then yes, white all colors.

'White light is a combination of all colors in the color spectrum. It has all the colors of the rainbow. Combining primary colors of light like red, blue, and green creates secondary colors: yellow, cyan, and magenta. All other colors can be broken down into different combinations of the three primary colors.'

In physics though black and white aren't considered colors.

'White and black are excluded from this definition because they do not have specific wavelengths. White is not defined as a color because it is the sum of all possible colors. Black is not defined as a color because it is the absence of light, and therefore color. In the visual art world, white and black may sometimes be defined as distinct colors. This is different from the concept of spectral color in physics.'

I dont understand:
a) why that is 'hypocrital'
b) wether you would prefer the main character to be a different color

reply

Not every movie can have a sprawling multi-ethnic cast like Cleopatra.

reply

that was a true masterpiece¡ not a single actor is in black face.

reply

Being a bigot on the internet is easy isn't it Cake Man.

Raging Raving Lunatic of a Racist.

reply

Yes, it is.

But thickos are so busy applauding the great God of diversity that they tend not to notice.

Hollywood doing what Hollywood does.

reply

Too many black and Asian supporting characters for your liking these days, huh. How unfortunate.

The US has pretty much always been diverse, but so many white right-wingers have lost their damn minds thinking they are being replaced, even when white people still get the lead roles.

It's all that Obama's fault for committing the crime of winning a presidential election while being only half white.

reply

The white chick is a foreigner though so :D

reply

Don't matter to the OP tho. If she white, she allll riiiiiight :)
