What were they eating? And did Jung do something rude in the dinner?

He was taking too much in his own plate leaving not enough for the others.

Also, he started eating before the rest were served. You are supposed to wait until the host takes a bite.

I believe what they were eating was a few forms of sausage, or something like it. Broccoli, too.

As for rudeness, I think that, besides eating before waiting for others, Freud's comment about being completely open was actually a veiled warning to actually do just the opposite, and not discuss the more "adult" parts of their profession in front of everyone.
