Near the beginning, Laura is tied up when she is with her client Joe, since it's one of his fantasies. The thing that I don't get is why she reacts the way she does when he pulls out the...um....sex toy (not sure if imdb will let me type the actual word).
She chooses to have sex for money. She lets any dirty, greasy, ugly, fat man put his penis in her vagina. She constantly consents to letting any man who will pay have sex with her with an actual penis that ejaculates.
So why does she scream and object when it's a *fake* phallic object? Wouldn't that be preferred? There's no human attached to it or any physical contact by a gross dude. It won't ejaculate and it won't get her pregnant or give her a disease. It's just a piece of plastic. Wouldn't most women prefer to get paid to have a piece of plastic inserted into their vagina rather than a man's actual body part?
I just don't understand why she continuously and willingly lets any man who will pay have sex with her, but if a man wants to use a toy, she is totally against it...I would think that she would be relieved. Can someone please explain Laura's rationale? Thanks!!
