What idiot Made this?

This would have been a really good retelling of the horrible tragedy, if it was done by professionals.

Why would anyone cast a child in such a scene with a man holding a gun to her head. Yes it happened in real life, but to subject a a baby so young in a scene when a man is hold a gun to her head is absolute lunacy.

They could have used pictures, with a screaming baby in the background and get the same results.

I hope the production company, and the parents of this child get her enough therapy to understand that what happened in this film is not real.

Oh my goodness, that is EXACTLY what I thought, too, when I saw the re-enactment scenes!! I even re-watched with the director commentary to see if maybe there was some "reasonable" explanation for his decision to have an actor hold a gun to a screaming/crying toddler's head and this is what I found out: the director actually prides himself on finding random people from the Las Cruces area to act these scenes. So this small child has NO exposure/experience/training for this sort of scenario!! The director also points out how it's instinct for the child to grab the barrel of the gun to protect herself from it.
What a horrible, horrible choice on the director's and anyone that did not put that scene on the cutting room floor.

Yeah this needed better filmmakers.
