Shouldn't winners of skill drill get a advantage?

Whats the point of picking out a winner in the skill drill if no advantage carries over to the elimination round?

I agree. In every other cooking competition, the winner of the non -elimination challenge gets some kind of advantage. It is pretty odd that they don't get one on this show.

I agree, the winner should get something.

I agree, too. Even if its a cash prize or some utensils or appliances. Or maybe a free course at a local beginner's cooking classin their home town.

While I agree, the winner does actually get the advantage of generally being safe from elimination that week. There have been many episodes where someone is a complete disaster in the elimination round, but is saved due to thier skill drill performance. It's not a given, so technically not an advantage, but it helps.
