If only not for the cheesy music taking the audience out of the moment from the very get go.

Doubtful. They almost never give Oscars to comedies.

No probably not.

It would've been better if the homes weren't so simple, the music, more character development and not wrapping up the end abruptly.

this is a very fun movie but there is no way in hell it could ever be nominated for any Oscars.
