Burning Man was submitted for this years AFI/AACTA awards but has since been removed.

Does anyone know why?

Really peeves me when eligible Australian films are not entered in these awards or rejected by the academy for some reason or another.

Basically because the release date was pushed back to November after the submission was made, so its no longer eligible for this this years awards - but it will be next year.
