Kitchen table top

There's a bit where the main character is having sex with a blonder woman presumably over her kitchen table top. Was it the same one who stopped him on the stairs and said she'd do 'anything' for him? Found it a bit confusing and the whole sleeping around with different women seemed contrived if anything.

If impersonating a Police Officer is an offence, shouldn't actors be imprisoned?

Yes, it was the same woman. I could quite easily believe that he would lash out against life in that way but I found it a bit wrong that these married women (some of whom were his wife's friends) were all throwing themselves at him.. It may be what he thinks he wants at that point, but he just needed someone who would be there for him, not just someone for him to have sex with
