Past Champions on Top Shot: All-Stars

I'm wondering in what capacity Iain (my personal favorite winner), Chris Reed, Dustin, and Chris Cheng will be involved with the All-Star season? Competitors, coaches, etc. Can't wait for the new season to start(too bad J.J. wasn't able to come back for it).

No previous winners will be back as competitors. Which I'm actually happy about, let's give some runners-up a chance.

It looks like it's all people who made it to the green shirt section.

From Season 1:
- Adam
- Kelly
- Blake
- Chris
- Pete

Season 2:
- Jamie
- Joe
- Gunny/Brian

Season 3:
- Alex
- Gary
- Phil

Season 4:
- Gabby
- Chee
- William
- Kyle
- Greg

I never expected them to actually compete against the others (like you I am happy about that). Still makes me wonder what exactly their involvement will be.

They'll probably just be the "experts" they bring in, if they're involved at all.

Unless maybe the competitors are separated into four squads of four and each previous year winner is the leader of a squad or something like that.

So one squad can win, the lowest performers out of the other three squads are eligible for elimination. Something like that perhaps.

at last they got rid of the teams and nominations and based it on pure skill

It's smaller on the outside

Yes, I'm THRILLED that they changed it up. I only hope that if there's a 6th season and it's all new people, they continue with this format. I recall reading that the ratings have climbed each season. So I figure the #1 complaint that people had is that it wasn't performance based, but a popularity contest. So I'm hoping they switched it up this year to see if many more people will tune in.

Still not clear on exactly what they're doing yet. But it seems they're observing and giving insight on each competitor for those little side interviews.
I'm assuming they'll also be giving pointers to them during the training sessions as well.
