Spider-man with a Flying Car.

Yep.They literally took the first 50 odd minutes of Spider-Man 1 and tweaked it.There was the triangle that was in Spider-Man, he got a job to get a good car like Peter, he was at odds with his father and was in some way responsible for his death, like Peter. He didn't become Black Lightning until about 50 minutes in like in Spider-Man 1.Also, the villain turned out to be someone he initially looked up to.The villain threatened to drop the female lead from several stories and the hero had to catch her.His boss was cheap and grumpy like Jameson.

Not to mention the way he defeated the villain was similar to Iron Man.

I can think of several reasons.

1. It's an age-old story that isn't unique by any measure, merely enacting the consequences of ignoring one's morals followed by the path of redemption.

2. It's not exactly a Hollywood blockbuster that in any way threatens the Spiderman franchise (Sony's doing enough damage all on their lonesome).

3. It was fun, and the "copied" elements can easily be written off as "homage."

As a fan of the Spiderman movies (even #3), this film didn't bother me a bit. I quickly spotted what was going on, and knew what was coming, but somehow it merely added to its charm. Great flick.

Okay, well I think this is an interesting issue.

This film did some serious imitating of Spiderman (and a good chunk from Back To The Future, and a little from Iron Man, and the list goes on), it's true; but I honestly think if you loved Spider Man, you will love this too IF you can be okay with the basic structure and act flow of the story being remarkably unoriginal, aka remarkably Spiderman. I personally can still really enjoy a movie even if it scores low on originality if it's good enough, and in this case they did their homework incredibly well on what they emulated. Some of you probably need to put your flame guns on Chill before reading this: in my opinion the writers for this film did a better job lifting Speilberg's and Lucas's rhythm and style for action films than Peter Jackson has done (or anyone else that I've seen), they just chose a comparably very poor superhero/superpower dichotomy to work with. Watch this film and imagine if these writers got to work with an already-existing proven-awesome superhero franchise; could've been better than Spiderman in every way. I didn't like this better than Spider Man or LOTR, but I sure enjoyed the human-scale moments in this much more than any Peter Jackson film I've seen. I cared a lot more about what this protagonist was going through, cared much more about him than I have for any protagonist in any Peter Jackson film with a few transitory exceptions. Because this copied Spiderman so much, it made it clear to me that Jackson needs work in this area, and that it's not my fault I tend to care little about Jackson's protagonists (especially in LOTR).

Anyway, I think Peter Jackson (as nearly all action film directors do) needs work in the human-scale department, and I think Chernaya Molniya exemplifies this. If you combine originality with the human-scale style that Chernaya Molniya imitated so well, I think you'd see a lot more 8 out of 10 action films on IMDB.

Yep, that's what I think.

Yes, when I saw his father killed by the mob and he ignored the old lady who tried to ask for his help for the poor wounded man(his father), I had a deja vu feeling of Spider Man, but I love how it went on its own style and story, instead of being too bias for how it tried to accomplish a Russian modern sci-fi film. It is quite entertaining and marvelous. As for the flying car, I didn't relate to Back to the Future, but to a much older movie I watched some 40 years ago as a kid which was about a beetle car(like Herbie) that can actually fly to the sky.

For me, it is not a usual opportunity to watch a Russian speaking movie, thanks to this I found it resourceful to know about Russia of the 21 century.

There's no doubt Spiderman was their template for the human story, with Knightrider (for me any way)the inspiration behind the tech side of things. I bet consideration was given to having the Volga talk.🐭
