Russia delivers with this one. I just hope that I don't see any seque..

Wow, what a surprise and a gem. As long as you chug away your disbelief seeing some improbable settings and product placements (e.g. mentos and iPhone that works under water!!!)

This is the 3rd best super hero theme movie I have seen last 12 years. It definitely does have the Spiderman vibe, but I thought the story was a lot better told.

I also didn't know Russian cloned Hayden Christensen for this movie. It was actually quite good. I love watching foreign films and I enjoy this one immensely.

My life isn't any better than yours.

I never got any spiderman vibe. maybe I vegged out a little too much <wipes drool>.

Laugh, and the world thinks you're crazy.
Weep, and the world thinks you're bipolar.

Really, you didn't get a Spider-Man vibe?A majority of the plot is directly lifted from the first Spider-Man movie.I take it you didn't see Spider-Man or you would have immediately noticed the similarities.

reply

I have seen spider-man, I just watch movies for the entertainment benefit. I can see the similarities now, it just doesn't bother me. I would rather sit back, relax and enjoy a movie.

Spider-Man vibe? Nice, but Peter Parker is a superhero with great responsibility. Dima is just a normal college student who is lucky enough to own a supercar without being bit by any animal(or insect so to speak, and a great car comes with great responsivility.

Then Batman or Iron Man if you prefer an augmented normal human, but they're all much the same. If you like the genre, then you may like this one. I'm not a fan but thought it was OK, and enjoyed seeing a Russian take on it.

Personally i thought it was just more of the same. it was like the unholy child of iron man and sam raimi's spiderman. The only thing really going for it was it diddn't have the cliche of taking place in NYC and for that matter the US.

Yes, it was fun seeing a Russian super hero film and with I agree, very much a Spiderman vibe and YA romantic angst to it.🐭
