Documentaries typically get OVERrated as any half decent one is pushing 8/10 at least. I figured i give this a shot cause i like stand up and i was pleasantly surprised. I think the slew of comics that made an appearance alone make it worth watching.
shareProbably because it was a serious, genuine look at stand-up comedy. Most of the movie wasn't comedic, and wasn't supposed to be. Maybe some people can't wrap their heads around that.
shareFor me that was the exact reason I did not like it, but it was also its structure. It seemed to be all over the place.

I think the other people are probably right, but also, while I enjoyed it, I thought the ending was really weak, almost non-existant.
Perhaps this goes along with the lack of structure somebody else mentioned.
