basically Black Beauty war version with happy ending

Made more sense when I read on here this story was originally a children's book. Anyway, it definitely reminded me of Black Beauty in that it followed the horse through various struggles, being passed from owner to owner, etc. Only Black Beauty really was a heart-wrencher.
