Seriously, they were portrayed as being a bit to clueless. Coco was a gutless, selfish slob, who was almost a danger to himself, and his wife was just as backward. I found it very hard to give a crap about either of them, and was actually quite peeved that they made it to the end of the film still alive.

Coco was a typical, spineless liberal pansy. Ooooo!! A gun!! Put it away!! I don't wanna defend my family!!! I mean really? They're in the middle of a pandemic and he's worried about "stealing from the dead"? It did seem like he finally grew a pair but no! After all that Horacio did for him INCLUDING saving his life from the guy that was about to shoot him, he says that he has his own family and can't take care of Horacio's daughter after his imminent death!! What an unappreciative bouchedag!! Coco was lucky Horacio (the only one with any sense btw) only shot him in the leg!!
