really loved this film except the ending was kind of a deus ex machina or whatever... who was the mystery dude who shows up and saves the day... or did i just miss something?

the chinese that, in the beginnig of the movie, they thought was not at home

I believe a plot hole exists in that everyone believes the Chinese family was away, but Guglierini and Lange, who showed signs of running low on food, hadn't broken into the Chinese family's apartment already in order to salvage resources before they would've bothered about Zanutto's stock.

I thought they tried to attack Zanutto because they thought he was infected and not for his stock, were they?

Guglierini and Lange wanted to kill zanutto because they thought he was sick. The looting was more of an afterthought.

He was one of the neighbors who share the building to live, it took me few seconds to figure out too , since when they counts the numbers at the beginging, they did mention Chinese(chico in Spanish from what I heard), but I wrongly thought he was a Chinese servant to one of the families.

In the very beginning of the movie, when they are counting how many people live there, they mention the Chinese family but they think theyre not there at the time. And throughout the entire film that family keeps their presence a secret (with damn good reason) Its my assumption that they either helped Coco because they heard everything going on and understood his nature or that that was the first time in the whole movie anyone went onto that floor so they finally got involved.

Actually Guglierini and Lange wanted to quarantine Zanutto in the Chinese family's unit away from them.

I don't love her.. She kicked me in the face!!
