American version has better acting, editing, cinematography, score,

The Swedish version has only one good aspect: Noomi, but even she is not as close to what Lisbeth should be as Rooney Mara is.

It's okay to say that the TV series Swedish production (What people call "original film") appeals more to you and to the people who saw that version first

It's usually the version you see first the one that you prefer.

Yet Fincher's version is superior, you may like it less, but is superior in certain aspects. Not in all but in most.

There really is absolutely no reason to bash Fincher's version without a pre-existing bias against it. There's maybe two things that fans of the book and Swedish film can hold against it: inconsistent accents, and the stylized intro. Neither, however, erase the film's masterful execution and establishment of atmosphere. Then of course there's Rooney's Lisbeth. Sure, you can prefer Noomi, but Rooney's interpretation is the book come to life. I'm prepared to throw down on this!

Yes, the Swedish version lovers were just so overproective of their film that they wish they had never been a version but in all honesty as a book fan I'm so glad that there are two versions and that one doesn't look like a bad tv show.

You're showing a lot of bias there. I saw the remake and wasn't all that impressed.

I saw the original tonight and really liked it.

I've never read the books.

What did you prefer about the Swedish version?
