gay couple?
it looks from the trailer as though there is a gay couple in the line-up of characters. very cool! there needs to be more gay representation in the horror genre for sure! this looks cool!!

I thought the young kid was his stepson,lol, As to the initial topic, I have seen an abundance in homosexual characters in every genre, not really in couple form though. Like in horror flicks there used to always be the "token" black person, now it's the "token" gay/bi persons role. I could GAF either way,,,,

No 5hit. I enjoyed the movie The Descent, despite a lack of male characters. WhyTF is it that these minority groups need to see token characters? Who gives a crap? Isn't the plot what's supposed to make the film?
sharei give a crap because it's nice to see life represented on screen the way it is in the real world. and it is nice when there are gay characters in horror flicks...but probably not a lot of them because the general audience for such movies happens to be closed minded folks like yourself.

I know plenty of gay people, especially on this board, and the one's I can't stand are like you. In YOUR world there are gay people all over, because you probably hang in those social circles. However, most straight people have straight friends.
I had a friend like you, and he's no longer a friend because EVERYTHING was about him and being gay and feeling persecuated, instead of just living his damned life. He always SAID he wanted to just be seen as normal, BUT, he'd be in gay pride parades. I said, if you want to fit in, wtf are you doing gay pride parades for instead of local community parades where people will realize you ARE just like everyone else. He chose to make a spectacle of himself instead of making people realize he's no different. He CHOSE to make himself an outcast.
This guy would take a dodge ram commercial about a guy borrowing a truck to pick up antiques and say THAT was anti gay. Yeah bud, no straight guy would ever need a pick up to get antique furniture, right? It was HIS prejudices against himself and no one elses. You seem all to caught up in your lifestyle choice instead of just living your damned life.
No one cares who's gay and who isn't, and if they do, THEY have the issues. That's when YOU ignore them. Personlly, I don't need to know who's having sex with who, and whether they are comfortable with that choice. If anything, a gay pride parade is anti gay in itself, because you have to try and justify your choice instead of just making it and living with it.
NamaGeno is so right. Said it perfectly. I get what the original poster is saying, but most of all I agree with ppl shutting their mouths and making a difference between ppl. I have a gay best friend and I have heard him say he hates when other gays make a big show. That's because my friend simply lives his life. But I will say that yes, in this movie , to me it made it seem more real.
