Did not qualify for Oscar consideration?

I'm sure this film would not have been nominated if it was up for consideration, but I don't get why it is not on the Academy's list of film eligible to be nominated. Vampires Suck is on that list, so this list clearly doesn't reflect quality. I'm just not sure what made this film ineligible, and I'm hoping someone can enlighten me. The same goes for Tiny Furniture. The release dates for these films seem to line up properly, so I'm not sure what the issue is.

I do not know the answer to your question, but for me, the fact that she was never asked the key question takes the film out of contention. Her Fox show cost her dearly in her career and her husband's life.

Me: "Joan, if you had to do it over again, would you have taken the Fox late night show?"

And you would be wrong. The Academy has already released the list of the documentaries from which the nominees will be selected, and this was not on it.

Tell me how to get this laid-back or I'll kill your families!

I just finished watching this on Netflix streaming. It is an amazing documentary and a crying shame it won't even be up to be voted on.
