Is She Great? I'm on the fence...

Is Joan Rivers great because she is extremely determined to keep working and doing what she loves? Or is she not so great because she is too delusional to move on?

There will always be people who like her and people who hate her...I'm not here to debate that since it's been done to death in previous threads.

She is great because she is clever and brilliant. She opened doors for comics in the same way that Lenny Bruce did. She came up with the likes of Woody Allen, Bob Dylan - success hangs out with success. Don't go by the surgeries or even "A Piece of Work" She is more than the sum off all those things. Truly seminal.

It depends on whether you find her amusing or funny. Many loved her, and many hated her, so she certainly struck a nerve. As for me, I found her more of a personality than a comic – and not a very entertaining one at that. I laughed three or four times at most during this film, which probably is not a good sign for a documentary about a comedian.
