This get 7.1 yet 'Drive' gets 7.9?

How can anyone in their right mind think that Drive was a better movie than this? Is it just because Mel Gibson is an *beep* outside of normal life and Ryan Gosling has yet to be exposed as one? (Spoiler alert, most people with a *beep* load of money are probably *beep*

Drive started out amazing but fizzled out quickly, this movie "Get the Gringo" was a non-stop great action flick. Who cares if it wasn't "avant garde"? You people need to get over yourselves when rating movies. Just because Drive is shot like a 70's flick doesn't mean it's as good as one, and just because "get the Gringo" has Mel Gibson in it doesn't mean he still isn't a great actor and the movie isn't great itself. Jesus...

I didn't care for Drive at all. Maybe my expectations were too hight.

Gringo on the other hand, was great. This should of gotten every bit as much (if not more) hype as Drive.

It's comparing apple's to oranges. Drive is portrayed with a bit more realism despite its dream like demeanor. Gringo is an over the top action movie on par with payback. Comparing the two seems like you are ignorant to genre and tone.

Posting *beep* all the time makes you look childish and embarrassingly lame, not cool. Either nut up and curse outright, or extend your paltry vocabulary and find other ways to express yourself.

'Then' and 'than' are completely different words and have completely different meanings.

havent seen drive. but i think they are two different movies, one serious where Get the gringo is kinda light hearted. I liked Get the Gringo and a 7.0 on imdb is by no means a bad score.

I agree a 7.0 is respectable. I have enjoyed films with 6.0 ratings. IMDB ratings mean squat. All that matters is if YOU like the film, not everyone else.

The ratings on Imdb are meaningless. They are voted for by hundreds or thousands whereas the movie was probably watched by millions.

For me, this was a 6.0-6.5, and Drive was a 6.5-7.0. No big deal. The former is a good action flick, the latter is more minimalistic and atmospheric.
