So how many people did he actually kill?

The cop said on TV that they had a "serial killer", and his apartment was apparently stacked floor to ceiling with body parts, bags and tupperware after the first killing we saw. He also tells the shrink he only killed three. Two of those killings were after the cop's appearance on TV mentioning the "serial killer". was he killing people before the British girl?

reply

I don't think he was. So three people: Fiona, Lisa, and Allison. Unless you count him helping to kill his mother, that makes four.

Logan, buddy. It's me, Deadpool! I shot youuuuuu....

reply

Yeah, but after the first killing(Fiona), when he takes his meds we get a real look at the apartment. There was way more tupperware and bags to be just Fiona's body.

reply

I think most of the stuff were empty pizza boxes und trash bags. I haven't seen more tupperware.

reply

You are correct. There was not more Tupperware. It was all bags of trash, pizza boxes and what I think were aluminum TV dinner trays.

reply

4 if you count his mom. He was hallucinating the end of the cops speech on tv.

reply

The cop said SERIAL KILLER before he started hallucinating the Cop on TV tho.

reply

Four women and all those that died when the building blew up.

At first I thought there may have been another killer out there. The news broadcast said a stabbed body had been found. However, he did not leave Fiona's body. He did not leave enough for them to figure the person died by stabbing. Plus, they were saying it was a serial killer. You can't make that call from just one killing.

I later figured out that the news broadcast was in his mind. He was projecting that and that leads into the confrontational direction it goes between him and the sheriff thru the TV. So the police had not found a body and were not investigating a serial killer at that point. All a part of Jerry's world.

As for the tupperware and boxes, he had an obsession with boxing and collecting things. I kind of gathered that from him at the end of the meeting gathering up the pizza. Those boxes around the house probably represented a ton of things that he had collected. He just processed his victims the same way and they were just a part of the collection.

reply

The cops did find a piece of Fiona however. The whole news broadcast though was in his mind. Or actually maybe part of it was.

reply

The box thing is a good catch, I hadn't thought about it too much, but it is indeed a part of his erratic behaviour!

Right. Because there was no stabbed body in the woods, as the sheriff seemingly claimed. Jerry took it back to his apartment. All that seemed to be left was a shoe and an unidentified organ, which isn't really enough to determine that this was a stabbing victim.

Wow I don't even remember seeing that. The bowling pin heads. I do recall the extra tool kits..

I definitely had the impression that he'd been killing all along, and there was more stacked up in that apartment than just pizza boxes. He'd been crazy a long, long time. I really doubt Fiona was the first.

Movies are IQ tests; the IMDB boards are how people broadcast their score.

I thought the garbage bags were just his household garbage he had hoarded like the pizza boxes, although he did seem to know what he was doing when it came to dismembering a body... But no, I think he only actually killed four people, including his mother.
