re: 'based on flawed china study' review

just type Q & A with T. Colin Campbell into Youtube search. he explains how the Weston Price Foundation criticism is baseless

also Gary Yourofsky Best Speech You Will Ever Hear on YT will turn 99 of 100 people who watch it into vegetarians or vegans IMO. also watch the Q&A after speech to tie up any loose ends

and the Mad Cowboy(Howard Lyman)documentary on YT is also excellent

once people see those and things like Food Inc, Earthlings, Eating, Vegucated, Got the Facts on Milk, Processed People, etc... it opens their minds and hearts

I like how your argument is, "Just listen to the propaganda spouted by these liars and Animal Rights psychopaths and stop thinking".

First and foremost, there are plenty of non-Weston Price sources that tear the BS presented in the China Study a new one, so the "WAH WAH! CORPORATE PROPAGANDA!" circumstantial ad hominem doesn't fly.
Like, for instance, Harriet Hall:
http://www.sciencebasedmedicine.org/index.php/385/

Colin Campbell can "explain" away whatever he likes, doesn't change the fact that he deliberately lied and altered the data to fit with what he needed the results to be.

Secondly, Gary Yourofsky is violent psychopath terrorist who has never made anything halfway resembling a valid point, and the only people who think his asinine "Bunny and an Apple" mantra is a solid argument are the same type of morons who think *beep* like "Earthlings", "Food, INC" and other such big money Hollywood agitprop qualify as reliable sources.

psychiatrists tell us many adults who abuse kids were abused as kids themselves by adults. based on your posts i am guessing many farm animals attacked you when you were a child

Osama Bin Laden was a violent psychopathic terrorist. Gary Yourofskys goal is healthier people living on a cleaner planet w/o animal suffering. geez, better send Seal Team 6 after him. based on killing people and causing economic havoc, meat and dairy farmers are terrorists, not vegans

people can make up their own minds after viewing the films and youtube clips we've mentioned, the links you posted, and our comments in the msg boards. i'm guessing most people will think you're a lunatic, a hired gun for factory farming, or both

i read that link you suggested. don't be surprised. that is what open minded people do, they look at all opinions. even in the link you suggested the reviewer admits the Weston Price counter study has flaws, and less animals in food chain is better for environment. do you even read what you suggest others read? just skimming something or reading a line about it somewhere else does not count. i even went thru the 71 comments after the review, and many of them point out the reviews flaws. again, people can read our posts, our suggestions, and draw their own conclusions

I am sorry, I can't get believe this animal suffering argument. What do we do about other animals that cause suffering to other animals? Should we kill all predatory animals? Do you realize how the animals will ultimately suffer even more if every person were to become vegetarian?

reply

predatory animals are different. it is in their nature, they have an instinct to hunt and kill, and do not have the option of going to store for fruits and veggies, or making some pasta and tomato sauce. wild animals also dont trim the fat, only take certain cuts of meat, or cook their food. it is my belief humans are not in the food chain, we are above it

i dont see how animals would suffer if the world went vegetarian or vegan. there would be less animals because the farmers would not overbreed them, and the ones alive would be treated well since they would be treated as pets, not products

reply

Pigs, cattle, and chickens will be pets? Farmers and drivers in the Midwest will just accept the unhunted deer population?

reply

I would like to point out that there are other (humane) methods of controlling animal populations. It is my girlfriends field and she is currently writing her thesis on the use of contraceptives on kangaroo populations. The paper will be published and there has and is quite a lot research being done in such areas as this. I would also like to point out that due to current human consumption and land use (of which the animal farming and fishing industries are among the largest) are actually bringing many species around the world to the brink of extinction. So you may wanna rethink how stopping animal farming will hurt more animals and realize it would do the opposite.

Also i do know of people who have pigs (pigs are actually more intelligent than dogs) and chickens as pets. Most of us don't currently because of how we view them. For instance some cultures find it fine to eat their dogs and cats where as we keep them as pets. India allows their cattle to roam the country freely. It's about perception and conditioning.

Any info you'll find condemning this great film is written by lobbyists employed by the meat and dairy industry. It’s either from Weston A Price Foundation, who lie full time of behalf of their employers, or someone affiliated with them.

If it’s the Minger piece, she has no credentials. If it’s from Masterjohns or Fallon, they have degrees in English---they write fiction, which is what they’re paid to do.

This is a great film. People can he healed through good nutrition, and take responsibility for their own health. Another good film is Fat Sick and Nearly Dead

Circumstantial Ad Hominem. Your investetment in this sollipsistic propaganda is so religious, you invent pathetic little fables of boogeymen and payoffs to hide the science and eons of evolution thyat prove your idiotic belief system wholly and irrefeutably wrong.

Meanwhile, you deliberately ignore the fact that this movie's anti-scientific sentiment is bandied about by DE FACTO PETA LOBBYIST MEMBERS LIKE NEAL BARNARD. There's more of a direct financial link between this movie and Animal Rights special interest cults that there is between Weston Price and the people shredding your baseless arguments.

Cool, but exactly who will be putting rubbers on kangaroos? ;-)

Predation is a "fair game," the predators get a chance at food; the prey get a chance to escape. The prey are often weaker offspring (thus putting natural selection at work and breeding a stronger prey population) or are animals who have already lived a life to reproduction age. Nevertheless, prey animals are able to live to the best of their abilities and are given a chance at life. If you want to speak in terms of "suffering," prey animals "suffer" when they can't escape predators, but predators also "suffer" if they cannot eat. It's a balanced game.

Humans in developed societies are far removed from this cycle. There is no exchange, there is no opportunity that we may NOT get meat (in which case we would still survive, or how did hunter gatherers live?) We have become so good at producing meat that we never live in "suffering" of lack of prey; instead our insistence for meat has created the most disgusting of animal-raising practices. I'm not talking from a "radical" animal rights standpoint, just basic ethics, or even the most primitive understanding of sanitation.

Do you honestly believe that the suffering a lion inflicts by snapping the neck of an impala is ANYTHING like the profit-driven meat industry does to create the most amount of meat at the cheapest price?--compromising decent living spaces, so most livestock live in cramped, dark, unventilated spaces;
compromising waste management, so most livestock live in their own excrement which contaminates not only the the land and groundwater to the point of deforestation, but their meat as well;
compromising animal feed, so a lot of animals contract diseases, that ultimately pass on to humans (i.e., E. coli) from unsuitable or nutritionally-poor diets;
injecting the animals with a number of hormones (not always legal) that disfigure the animals (chickens who can never walk, cows with swollen udders);
compromising workers' rights by disallowing workers to unionize (don't forget, where the animals live, people have to work too!);
... just to name a few.

People tend to forget that farm animals, though they may have herd mentality or lower IQ, have the same needs that cherished dogs and cats do. They react in the same fear that your dog would if you left it in such inhumane living quarters; except livestock suffer it everyday.

That's what inflicting suffering is. Not when a predatory animals work meal-to-meal catching prey that live outdoors.

I don't understand your last question. It sounds too stupid to even comprehend.

reply

I meant to say, desertification, not deforestation.

reply

Man so many people are just amazingly stupid. Do you really think that the only reason animals exist is to be a scource of nurishment for humans or that if we werent around they would just grow to great in numbers and suffocate eachother (wich is a problem us humans have not animals btw). Try and open your mind if it isnt more that just a little bit and take in the information given in this movie and studies on the diseased the western population seems to have.

reply

"or that if we werent around they would just grow to great in numbers and suffocate eachother (wich is a problem us humans have not animals btw)."

Animal Rights in a nuitshell: Close-minded idiots and fanatics who know absolutely, positively NOHING about how nature or ev,lution works, using violence and misinformation in a misguided bid to force the rest of the world accept Animals as our superiors.

reply

very well said!

reply

Well said.I wish people who think its ok to treat animals the way we do had to spend a day (or just a few hours) in conditions these poor animals live their whole lives in. But then I realize these people are probably ignorant fools with no sympathy or empathy for those weaker than themselves.

If yiou can't comprehend the fact that slaughterhouses do far more to "ease suffering" than predators, the stupidity is solely on your behalf.

That's it, hide from cited scientific fact behind a wall of idiotic ad hominem attempts.

"Gary Yourofskys goal is healthier people living on a cleaner planet w/o animal suffering."

He extolls the use of violence, arson and even murder against people who eat meat and such. He's a *beep* terrorist.

Yeah, we've already established that you start whining and crying and slinging stupid insults around the moment you can't provide a counter-argument to scientific study and logic.

"i read that link you suggested."

It's pretty damn clear you didn't.

You sound completely nuts, like every vegan I've ever heard speaking. So my question is: does going vegan make you nuts or do only insane people go vegan in the first place?
