Was Joe Sr. taller than Jack?

Joe Sr. looked like a hulking man in the movie (over 6 ft) and Joe Jr. was tall as well. However, Jack was portrayed as substantially shorter than his father. Was this just a coincidence that the actors playing Jack were short, or was he really shorter than Joe Sr.?

Bobby, of course, was a shrimp!!

Not sure, honestly, but I think Joe Sr. was shorter than Jack – say a couple inches or so, three at most…around 5’9” or thereabouts. Bob Kennedy as an adult was as you say shorter ... 5’8” or so. (In a biographical essay written ca. 1938, Bobby described himself as 5’2” tall, the source there being an early chapter of Ted Kennedy’s last book, True Compass.) At the time of his death, the President was 72 ½” tall and weighed approximately 170 pounds.

Not exactly sure on Joe Sr's height, I'd guess around 5-11 maybe. I looked at some different pictures of him with his sons and found differing results. As was said, JFK was a tad over six foot as was Jor Jr. Bobby was around 5-9, maybe closer to 5-10 and Teddy grew to be around 6-2.
