Excellent and multi-layered

I have seen the film twice now, once at its film festival premiere and again on the DVD I bought. The whole team behind the film had a wonderful vision that shows not simply the societal horrors of a "zombie apocalypse," but focuses on the personal, the emotional; and how the core of the family unit must deal with the effects. Yes, there is gore. Yes, there is terror. But, don't be fooled into think that is all it is. The film has emotional resonance. It has a complex story that unfolds with unpredictability. And, most of all, it has a heart. Truly unforgettable.
