Stupid show or not?

Anyone else having troubles deciding if they like this show or really hate it? You'd think it would be a simple decision, buti just can't make up my mind.

Also, every episode, before it even starts, I can tell that it's going to involve a dog barking at something that's not visible, and then it goes off into your run-of-the-mill spook story. Should it REALLY be on Animal Planet?

reply

I dunno, I like to believe stories because it's more fun for me than being skeptical. I hate it when the animals die though :(

reply

I think it's a great continuation of A Haunting, there hasn't been a show like it until this one.

I do not think it is a stupid show....I actually like it and catch it when its on....The only time I won't watch is if they repeat an episode I already seen.

I watched an episode where a family claimed they went into their childrens' bedroom, with a paranormal investigator, and saw everything covered in blood. The children were fine. They had no idea where this blood came from, but it was everywhere and they had to clean it up. You mean to tell me this investigator didn't photograph any of this blood that "was all over everything"? I mean, they showed "actual video footage from the investigation" moments before... but nobody even thought to document this blood that supposedly appeared supernaturally and they had to actually clean up afterward???

Good spooky stories... total fiction though.

I don't think the show is stupid - I think the people are immensely stupid.

I will preface my statements with I think there are bad/evil entities floating around. Tonight's episode of the Ghost Box prophecies - were all 3 "prophecies" came true and the people admitted to "not connecting the dots" even after the 1st 2 came about. People, if you're animals suddenly started acting erratic, aggressive, and then finally losing weight and becoming sickly after you figured out your house is haunted - don't just stand there - get the animal and your kids out! This particular episode even had a warning to get the animals out.

Then I must say the "expert" paranormal investigation team is stupid too for suggesting a blessing on the house only after the dog died, the roommate died, and the house almost exploded. Little late isnt it?

I'm stupid for getting emotionally involved in this show with stupid people.

Exactly! I especially hate the true haunting books that talk about all the evidence they collected during the experience but provide none of it in the book.

That part about the blood did seem really sketchy, especially considering the fact that they seemed to have video footage of everything else that they had been doing up to that point.

I'm watching the new episode tonight and already calling foul.

Those screams this guy is hearing from his backyard? Those are mountain lion screams, you dolt! Anyone who lives near woods should know that!

And the sensation of being unable to move while theoretically awake is a documented phenomenon called "sleep paralysis", it feels like someone is weighing you down and is not paranormal. It's just your brain "waking up" before your body is ready.

That priest has been on multiple episodes... and last I checked, exorcisms had to be approved by someone pretty high up in the Catholic hierarchy, like at least the Cardinal of the Archdioceses in question.

A call bogus on tonight's episode.

I really like this show. Father Bob has been on Paranormal State a few times before and I have heard of him doing other work with the paranormal.

I can't get to the remote fast enough to change the channel. It is so boringly like other paranormal shows. I watched it last season only because it was the best of the poor offerings on TV on the night it was on. I have never seen any of my pets or any of the animals we had on our farm react this way to anything other than living beings that they didn't know. BTW I am a senior citizen so that spans a lot of years of observation of animals and life in general. I believe in the paranormal and have had some experiences along the "presence" line but haven't seen an apparition. Sounds and odors are also in my experience.

reply

I'm not Catholic but totally agree with you. They take exorcism very serious as it involves with demon.

I'm wondering if Father Bob is a Reformed Catholic priest and not a Roman Catholic priest. He did not specify either. I'm not certain how either of them function, but I'm pretty sure that you're right about exorcisms needing to get several levels of approval before being performed in the Roman Catholic Church. However, if Father Bob is not a Roman Catholic, that could make a world of difference in what he can or can't do as far as that is concerned.

Okay I was on the fence over this show but I call 100% BULL because 99% of the people are CRAZY and not normal.

There were a couple of shows that were good (the mob hit in the restaurant to name one) but the Succubus one had to have been the WORST piece of fake garbage that I almost hopped in my car and drove to Taunton to slap that guy for embarrassing his sons like that on TV!

Almost EVERY show has the following:

A demonic possession
A demonic haunting
A Rumor that the house was haunted
Single Parents
A Ghost Box
An EVP telling them to GET OUT
Items that FLY 10's of feet at them (because we know nothing ever falls from walls)
LIARS

What really ticked me off was the 17 year old girl pretending to be possessed and made her mother lose her home and DOG because she was a selfish little girl who pretended to be possessed due to rumors at school that her house was haunted and she was scared. She is going to be filled with unbelievable guilt when she gets older and realizes what she actually did to her mother and sister. When the friend talked about her eyes being "all black" and that's how she knew she was possessed really got me upset because the entire time the girl was interviewing her eyes were solid black!

I get upset when they say all this stuff happens and they don't show it yet their tapping it. huh? Also, my dog does the SAME thing half these so called "paranormal" animals are doing and my house is not haunted. They can hear and see things we can't...my dog sits at the window and barks and grunts and no one is walking by..has to be a ghost! ugh...

What REALLY frightens me about these nut jobs is that they NEVER consider anything is "normal" or seek out a doctor because they've heard rumors their house was haunted and it MUST be paranormal!

Also a few of the psychics and demonologists are well known scam artists.

So I like watching the show for the very few shows that actual are good stories and just laugh in between.

It is pretty stupid, and I don't think even half the stories are real, but I like it anyway because I love the subject of ghosts. lol.

I love how all the people are such idiots. More and more evidence piles up that the place is haunted, and they still don't get it. Let me tell you, if I move into a house next to a cemetary and my dog starts cowering at the bottom of the stairs and barking and snarling at the empty space at the top of the stairs, i'd GTFO immediately. But the idiot guy in the episode that was on a few minutes ago was all "oh, I didn't think anything of it". Moron. And the idiot still didn't pick up on it after EVERY SINGLE MEMBER OF HIS FAMILY was talking about sh!t that was happening to them, to the point where one family member moved out. Not to mention the human bone they found in the backyard (which, btw, they didn't call the police about. wtf?). Nope, none of that did it for him. Only when he heard banging sounds in the basement and then went down to check on it and didn't find anything did he FINALLY pick up on it. I am 100% certain that that episode wasn't real. No one could possibly be that stupid.

If you watch a TV show, and you can't decide whether you like it or not, and then type a comment about your adventures with indecision - you've officially become an airhead.
