Showing on ITV3 at the minute.

It looks like someone stole a bit of BBC's niche with the 'Nordic noir' and got this before them.
Well, even with the ad breaks (easily overcome) well done whoever commissioned it.It's damn good!

Don't worry ever, because this is just a ride. It's just a ride.

I'm absolutely loving this. Lars is so adorable and wish he was in more things.

Yes, I don't know where that beard came from, but, I hope it goes back there soon. Lars must be preparing for another role ......... William Peterson in CSI and Trevor Eve in Waking the Dead both grew beards and it did them no favours

reply

Thankfully that beard's gone this week. Lars looks so much better without it

I love the fact - for such a great show - we're distracted by the awful appearing / disappearing facial hair on our two leading men .,....,... I hope Molbeck doesn't grow a beard next week

I'm torn. I'm looking forward to tonight's as it should be special as it's the finale (didn't even get opening credits) - I have a bad feeling about Thomas's family now he is happy - but, I'm dreading it as it's the last one and I'll miss it

SPOILERS ...............,,...,.,,I knew it was the final one, but, I never ever expected that. I'm still in shock now. With the obvious foreboding, I assumed it would be Benedict?, but, never for one moment did I suspected it would be Thomas. I was in tears. Embarrassing I know, but, I'd become attached to these characters in a short time. The tears started when that bloke left poor Johan on his own (understandable, but, what an horrific thing to do) and didn't stop until that sad scene at the train station. Speechless

I see from the posts that it's finished.

I've saved the last 4 of these to have a 'noir' day and I've really enjoyed what I've seen so far....there is one teeny tiny crit in that there is a distinct echo of 'Wire in the blood' and a touch of Jack Kerley in one episode. Butt with this series the back stories are far more fleshed out and thus satisfactory.
Plus in (what seems to be typically Nordic style) much is conveyed in far fewer words.
Hopefully there will be another season sometime.

The only really 'er,that was a bit convenient' episode is the drug war that wasn't one, where things slotted into place far,far too easily and a son health conflict for Thomas was inevitable and telegraphed too early.(Plus why do these drug warlords only ever have 3 or 4 sidekicks and live in a gym or a nightclub...always makes me laugh)

As for Lars' beard, the fact that it is a dead ringer for my ex's is a crime punishable by electrolysis at the very least and I hope never to see it again.
and he looked worrying thin by the end of the season.

And now having sat through 7 hours or so of back to back episodes ( which I don't recommend as the holes in the programme start to show unlike The Killing)....they have left it kind of open...they didn't say directly that Thomas is dead, implied greatly sure but not said. Perhaps they were waiting for reaction before another season was commissioned - who knows.Thomas could become the PTSD veteran police expert.Stranger recoveries in health have happened in drama land.

Roll on the repeats! Well worth another viewing.

Don't worry ever, because this is just a ride. It's just a ride.

I found it similar to Wire in the Blood aswell, but, I enjoyed Those Who Kill better and I'm sorry it's over

Just seen the last two episodes of Season One (on Sky+) and have now seen the entire season.

An excellent series.

I have to say that I have never watched a "subtitled" series before, I normally only watch English language UK or US programmes (occasional Canadian or Australian also) but I hardly noticed the fact that it was subtitled after about the first five minutes of episode one.

Very good series, deserves a second season.

It's back on BBC4
