'The Feelgood Movie of the Year'

I don't know about you, but I'm now kinda glad I live in NYC and will probably die in whatever first strike comes. I wouldn't want to live another month like the people in this film..

No kidding. I just finished watching this and I want to slit my wrists. (joking) But seriously, this is one depressing movie.

I watched this yesterday and while it was done fairly well it belongs with all those other movies from the eighties like THREADS, THE DAY AFTER and MIRACLE MILE that all ended up on the downer side.

reply

The ROad as well.

what a downer to watch on a Sunday morning.

It's hard to make a serious movie about the world getting nuked and to have a happy ending.

True

Testament is the mother of all depressing movies. Makes the Day After look like Ferris Bueller's Day Off.

the movie had some bogus special effects in the beginning with a couple nuke explosions and fake jet fighters flying overhead.
