Wow it looks so different than the original!

So this time its a woman that tricks a rich snobby guy into thinking he's married to her, wow that makes the movie completely different! This is so original guys you really made it your own.

But fucking seriously is Hollywood that fucking lazy, can they not come up with anything original? They seriously gotta go back through the catalog of movies from the 80s and search rom coms for ideas?

"Oh i know lets just remake this movie cause that way we wont have to think of anything, we'll just take the script for that old movie and rewrite it making little changes it'll be so easy!"

"And the best part of it is there will be alot who wont even know this is a remake and they'll think we come up with something original!".

Also i love how they just couldn't portray a woman as the bad person, so of course in today's sensitive pc society we live in they had to make the woman the poor sympathetic one while the man was the snobby asshole.

Come on, do we really need to dissect everything looking for something to offend us?

In the original, Joanna was indeed a snobby asshole, but Dean still took advantage of her. If she pressed charges, he'd have done 10 years or more. Instead, they both end up as better people and end up together.

As long as they're doing a remake, flipping the story makes sense. I'll probably see the movie now. If it was a line for line remake there's no way I would have.

The most amusing thing about rants like this (whether they’re about remakes, new movies with non-old days themes, etc), is the expected attack on modern society/Hollywood’s “PC culture”. Oh, they’re so sensitive...

Yet, the OP’s always come off as the unbelievably triggered ones. Yes, man, that is correct. I mean the woman is made to look good this time? Rage!!!!!!

Cant you come up with better ideas for a bitchy whiney post? this particular bitchy whine has been done 1000s of times.

That makes no sense, the roles and storyline dictate who is the snobby asshole, and its now been done with both a man and a woman , and the roles were portrayed the same as the first time .
