Unintelligible dialogue drowned out by intrusive music

I'm watching "Class" for the third time this week, hoping I can finally actually understand some of the things Kylie mumbles. Unfortunately, each time she says something I'd consider important, or at least interesting, her failure to speak clearly and the ubiquitous--and mostly obnoxious--music makes it impossible to understand a great deal of what she says. I know the character's supposed to be overly shy, and her tendency to mumble is a symptom of this, but making the music louder at these points is just bad sound editing. There's no excuse for it. This interferes with what is, to me, an otherwise enjoyable flick.

In peace,
Debbie Jordan

I agree. Every single Hallmark movie is filled with background music. It never ends! I don't know what the reason is, but I have turned off several promising movies because the music was so annoyingly overwhelming.

I was just coming to post the same complaint. Glad to see I'm not the only one.

Would you excuse me? I cut my foot before and my shoe is filling up with blood.
