Ok maybe its because i dont really understand the rules of amateur wrestling but why in the hell did Cal lose that last match?? From what I saw..both wrestlers had 0 points. Cal got a reversal and gained all the momentum, nearly pinned the other guy...and the decision goes to the other guy??? Total let down man!
shareIt was not tied 0-0. He was losing 11-4 when he hit the "reverse cradle" for 5 (2 reversal and 3 near fall). If you're someone who has wrestled their whole life and now coaches like myself the entire movie is just comical
shareAre you kidding? The ending was great, because it was totally unexpected. In these kind of movies the good guy always wins the final match. Here it is not the case, and i thought it was impressive that they chose to end it this way.

The ending wasn't that Cal lost the match. The ending can be summed up in two words: "Dad's here."
