Cheaper to Grow Vegetables Yourself (in the USA)

That's right you saw it I am an American & proud of it. I live in the south and proud of that too.
We take pride in the food we eat and hear me say this once more...I DON'T FRY ANTHING!~
That's right you heard me I am from the south living in the USA and I don't fry anything.
I have just tilled the garden getting ready to plant my veggies for the summer.
Okra, Squash, Canteloupe, Watermelon, Zucchini, and Eggplant thus far will be going in the ground this week.
Hope to get the cabbage, lettuce, tomatoes, and others as soon as possible.
Yup, the south will rise up some mighty fine veggies at my house.

I had my heart catheterization last december and didn't need any stents at all. I owe that to good healthy eating, due to heart disease runs in my family.

I pray that most of you who sit at home on the pc and do nothing but blog will find the time to stop all the complaining, stop the insults, and most of the whining long enough to get with the program.
Try fish at least 2 to 3 times a week as well.

Thank goodness for Jamie just getting out there to the schools and telling them how to do things better for our children. I complained about the fries being served daily to the school and they laughed at me. So I called the main office for the state, and they made excuses. LOL, well I was thrilled about the new program that came out the next year. This has been some time ago, and I am certainly not claiming that I personally got things changed by no means. But maybe if the parents did get involved you could get things changed in your home town, even the state level will have to listen.

AGAIN. Thank goodness for Jamie is all I can say at least he is trying.

Gardening? When I live in an area that has farmer's markets year-round, and I can get good local veggies for a dollar a pound every Sunday? Gardening takes time, and time is money!

But whatever works, regarding diets. Because as you well know, a healthy diet can make a huge difference over the course of a lifetime. Congratulations on a healthy heart!

You're so lucky to live near a farmers market. That would be a dream come true for me. Even here in the county outside the suburbs we can't get fresh veggies and when we did have a farmers market here it was way too expensive.

But thanks for your reply. You're very kind!

"I had my heart catheterization last december and didn't need any stents at all."

pls,
a cardiac catheterization isn't a normal, everyday test, there must have been a reason for it. no stents? big deal, most people don't have them.

not everyone can have a garden of any size. we live in an apt, we can't have one but we did when we owned our own homes. gardening isn't for everyone anyway.

i don't think you're much of an advocate for clean living yet.

lilypad,
you need some professional help, if you are going to quote me use the entire paragraph to which I spoke.

I visited your post board, you are a miserable person from the post you put out with that potty mouth you have. You accuse me of not being a clean person yet your mouth is unclean. Your true character does tell what kind of person you are when you post.

Now run along because this is the last time I'll respond to you.
"Buh bye!"

what do you know about my character?

where did i say you weren't clean? please quote me.

i said most people don't have cardiac catheterizations or stents, those do not indicate a healthy person.

Who has the time to grow vegetables? Especially if you're living in a city.

Religion is regarded by the common people as true, by the wise as false, and by rulers as useful.

Just skip watching a sitcom or two and you have more than enough time. Or better - you could even tend to your plants during the commercial breaks! That's all the time you need.
