Asha Degree

I really wish that they would feature the Asha Degree case. Not sure if many are familiar with this particular story, but it has haunted me for many years. A little girl disappears in the middle of the night. She's seen by several motorist walking along the highway with a backpack in the dead of night.

Thanks for the info. So many questions. I can't believe that this child was walking alone in the dark in the middle of the night.

I read somewhere that a few people actually called the cops, but by the time they arrived, she darted into the woods.

thanks for the extra info...I think you are right

I think that is what elevates this particular disappearance. Why on earth would she be walking along a dark highway in the dead of night? It's as bizarre as it is sad.

There's a very well researched site dedicated to the Asha Degree case called Finding Asha Degree. I'll try posting the link: https://findingashadegree.wordpress.com/
I live very close to the area where Asha disappeared. The case has haunted me. The sad and frustrating part is that I've spoken casually to police in the area and they seem flippant and ambivalent about finding her. I think any chance of finding her may be in the hands of arm-chair detectives.

Best of luck with this website if it's yours or a friend's. You're 100% right that this case should be featured on "Disappeared." The show seems to seek out missing persons cases with an element of uniqueness, where not one person, but many people, may potentially have information. Especially after the young woman from Florida, abducted at birth from the hospital was found alive and well in Georgia, hope should exist to find this young lady alive and well too, God willing.
