The missing trafficked girl

I apologize, I don't remember if it was this show or another ID show but it was an episode about a teenager girl who'd gone missing and then she was spotted at a restaurant with a woman (a madame?) with another few girls. The woman ordered their food and didn't let them talk and they had their hands covered with their sleeves of their shirts. And that was last the girl was ever seen. I was just wondering what the significance of the covering of the hands were. If they were covered by the sleeves, they couldn't be handcuffed right because the sleeves wouldn't work like that if there were handcuffs. I just wondered why she had them cover their hands.

nothing...maybe someone else knows

I think you are referring to the Tiffany Daniels episode. Perhaps the sleeves covering the hands was to prevent finger prints from being left behind?

That sounds like it comes from Vanished with Beth Hollaway I could be wrong though.

BetteDavis...you probably thoughht of her becase of this snippet

Tiffany’s mother got a particularly eerie tip, describing an older Hispanic man with two younger women. One of the younger women appeared to resemble Tiffany and when the waitress confronted her about the similarities, the trio of women abruptly left the restaurant. Unfortunately, the tip came in after security-camera footage in the restaurant had been tapped over. Tiffany’s mother continues to wonder if her daughter was accurately spotted that day.

+similar idea but does not quite match the story the poster is asking about

It was the Tiffany Daniels episode. I just saw it yesterday. The waitress said the 2 women had long sleeves pulled down over their hands, the other was an older well dressed woman. The mom said she often wore long sleeves so could've been her. She asked if the soup was made with beef or fish broth which the mom says was probably her because she was a vegetarian (she must've actually been pescatarian if she ate fish though).

The family seemed fixated on the idea that she was kidnapped and sold to a sex trafficking ring. While possible, there was no evidence of that. My personal conclusion from that episode was that she walked into the ocean either to intentionally kill herself or she accidentally drowned as there were rip tide warning there.

There was discussion

Agree with previous poster, it's Tiffany Daniels episode, and the comment about the broth being vegan or whatever.
