The Jackson Brothers and black women!

Seems like all the brothers prefer non-black women. They dislike black women so much that some of them would even be with a woman who's not all that good looking like Tito, just as long as she's not black. Not that looks are everything but you know the Jackson brothers like to be with beautiful women, but beauty to them is anything that's not black. You can't tell me there aren't any beautiful black women that they could have dated. I'm not against dating outside your race because you can fall in love with someone outside your race but the brothers have had numerous relationships with women but none of the women have been black. I think Marlon's wife is black but I guess that's the only one. In the beginning they liked black women but when they went to the top, black women weren't good enough for them anymore. They wanted the best women and the best to them was any woman not black, because to many brainwashed or self-hating black males, that's a sign of prestiege/success and it makes them feel good like they have something special.

It's not by coincidence that so many black guys that become successful don't prefer black women. You don't see too many white males marrying black women when they become successful because black women aren't the ideal woman.

All the brothers have had bad relationships with the women they've been with, mostly because of the brothers, so they can't say black women are bad like so many use as an excuse to why they don't like black women. Some black guys say they don't like being with black women because their not easy to control as non-black women are. Black women won't put up with their stuff as much as non-black women would. I personally feel like if you're black and don't like black women, you don't like your mother, your sisters, nor yourself, because you come from a black woman.

So many are quick to show their not prejudice by dating outside of their race but they end up proving to be prejudice when they exclude dating other blacks. There are people who are prejudice towards people of their own race.

What do you all think? I'm not trying to start a heated debate but I couldn't ignore the obvious.

I just had that conversation with someone the other day. I noticed that none of them had been married to African American women. I'm sure because you've posted this topic, many will come and say many things to the contrary. Truth be told, I wondered about their dating preferencesmyself. Many will say you can't control who you fall in love with...it doesn't make them prejudice...all kinds of things but I'm sure there are others who share your perspective.

I believe Marlon's wife is black and Jermaine was married to Hazel Gordy, a black woman, 20 or so years go.

However, there does seem to be a general overall tendency on their part to not date black women or at least go public with them for whatever reason. A lot of black men in Los Angeles are like that, and black men who are sucessful in the entertainment/sports industry tend to date non-black women. Not all the time, but well there is a pattern.

But hey if you want to look for postive and successful black men with black women look at Barack Obama, Denzel Washington, Bill Cosby, Colin Powell and Will Smith. Notice that overall they evoke an image that is positive-intelligent, secure, confident, well-spoken-and they are all in long lasting marriages with black women.

Hell even goofy Al Roker is married to Deborah Roberts, successful black female journalist.

Jermaine was married to a black woman.

marlon's wife carole is black. he's also the only brother to not be divorced too. i hate that michael only dated/married white women. i was 6 when thriller cam out and i was gonna marry him.
my boyfriend's theory is that their mother is so perfect and great that no other black woman could measure up. Mike said his mother was perfection and a saint. I'm sure she is considering she had 9 children with joe jackson.

Michael's only real marriage was to Lisa Marie Presley. That "marriage" with Debbie Rowe was just something he did to make Katherine happy since they were having kids together. He never loved Debbie in a romantic way at all. I'd say Michael did have a preference for white women though, but he did like black women too and has dated them. Stephanie Mills and Shana Magantal both claim to have dated him. I also believe he really loved Diana Ross and not just as a friend either. When she got married to that guy Arnie (forget his last name), Michael was devastated and didn't speak to her for years. He didn't show up at their wedding either and this 'caused a riff between Diana and MJ for years. The fact that he even named Diana in his will of all the women he knew says to me that he had a deep love for her. Some people think it's just as a friend, but I think he was in love with her at some point and he's stated before he was in love with her, but she just saw him as a little brother or something.

Anyhow, all the Jackson men have dated or married black women. Marlon's wife is black. Jackie was married to a woman named Enid who was half Black and half Asian. Jermaine was married to Hazel Gordy, who was black, so saying they don't deal with black women just isn't true although it seems as of lately most of them have a preference for non-black women.

Why does everyone always only talk about the Jackson men though? Last time I checked, Latoya was married to a white man, whom she later divorced. I believe she is dating another white man now as well. Janet is another one who seems to have a preference for non-black men. Sure she dated Jermaine Dupri, but she really never had a serious relationship with a black man before that. She seems to have a preference for hispanic men like her ex-husband Rene Elizando. And as of lately, Janet has been spotted hanging out with an Arabic man, so she definitely dates outside her race more than anything. Dupri is really the only black guy she's been with.

Look at the grandkids though, most of them date non-black people too, even the women. Anyone who's seen Marlon's grandkids can tell that those kids are definitely mixed. It's obvious his daughters husband/boyfriend is white or something other than black. Same thing with Rebbie's daughter. Her daughter is or was married to an Asian man. I do think some of the family might have some problem with race perhaps and that's why so many, including the Jackson women, date outside their race, but don't say that the Jackson men have never dated black women 'cause that's just not true. Also stop making it seem like it's just the Jackson men who date outside their race because the Jackson women such as Latoya and Janet most definitely seem to have a preference for dating outside their race as well.

janet has 3 men i know about. james debarge, rene and jermaine dupree. james is half black and pretty much identifies himself as black and jermaine dupree who's obviously black.
latoya was only married to one guy who's not black. she did date a debarge brother in the 70's- 80's and rebbie has been married for like 40 yrs to a black man. there's only 3 sisters so maybe that's why their dating/marriage history doesn't get focused on much....the brothers seem to have more of a preference because there's more of them i guess

Maybe you are under the impression that the original poster or even myself spend countless hours awake at night worrying about whether the Jacksons marry within their race. I assure you, we don't. We do, however, engage in conversations with other people about a variety of topics to include race relations, the economy, careers, dating, etc. Discussions of such topics can take place on message boards. Not to mention, when people open their lives and welcome the filming of their day to day activities, its to be expected that conversations about their lives will ensue.

Obviously you care, you're here. If you don't care why are you at this message board posting? This is a forum to discuss various topics, idiot!

I never said they didn't ever date black women. I said they started out in the beginning dating black women but not in the past 20+ years, like most black males who make it to the top, they discontinued dating black women. I guess it has to do with when you get to the top, your surrounded around other races more and I guess they started preferring non-black women sadly.

Janet and Latoya don't seem to like dating blacks either. It is their choice and their privilege to date whomever but it has to be something that makes them not want to date blacks but it kind of makes them look bad to blacks who supported them from the beginning and were their first fanbase.

This up and coming generation of the Jackson family aren't black but rather biracial or multiracial. There's only a few children that are black and that's Jermaine kids, Jermaine Jr., Autumn, Jaimy, Marlon's kids, Valencia, Brittny, Marlon Jr., Rebbie's kids Stacy, Yashi, Nathaniel, and Jackie's son Sigmund Jr. All the others are mixed, and the ones who are older and kids of their own, their children are mixed. They definitely have become a rainbow family. I remember a few years ago Katherine was sitting with her young grandchildren or great grandchildren and there wasn't a black one amongst them, I was like wow, the mixed ones didn't even look like they had any black in them. I would have liked to see some black kids in there. I guess that's how life is in L.A., most everyone is mixed, they say it's becoming the norm in the world.

I will always admire MJ but he could at least adopted one black kid. I hardly ever saw him with black kids in his company since Emmanuel Lewis who played Webster, and that was over 20 years ago. I personally always felt MJ had some problems with his blackness and some blacks, but he's not the only one in his family or in the world. The talents he inherited and learned from his culture helped make him a great star, but people who have self-hate about being black overlook the good things about their race and culture.

I always felt MJ wasn't all that interested in women but married the women he did either for publicity or to stop some of the gay rumors. MJ could have been asexual but you never know.

The 1st kid from the 1993 allegation is Black. & MJ was very proud of his Black heritage, research on it, I'm too lazy to do it for you. No offense, just a bit blunt there, that's all.

That's a good theory of your brother's. I haven't thought of it that way but at the same time if no black woman can measure up then why do the other women measure up? When it comes to black women, it seems we always have to fit a standard or rule or measure up to someone or something, and if we don't, we're out, but other women don't have to measure up to anything, their looked at as being good just the way they are.

That's a big problem with men. You can't compare a woman to your mother or expect a woman to be like your mother. That's one of the main reasons some men don't have good relationships with women, their looking for one to be like momma. You can't have a momma and a woman in one.

I guess Papa Joe being the way he was also contributed to Janet and Latoya not preferring black guys too much.

reply

Maybe the brothers should date women from each race and ethnic group. They could draw straws to make it fair. Or just randomly throw darts at a board and depending upon what color they hit they would "hit that" racial group.

Just some ideas.

reply

What race was Tito's ex wife Deedee?

reply

Dee Dee was hispanic.

About this topic I think the others are right Marlon wife is black, Jermaine married Hazel who was black, Jackie Jackson wife was black, and I'm not sure about Randy if his wife was black or not. The sisters Rebbie husband is black, Janet she just had 1 black man and that was Jermaine Dupri. I noticed that to that the Jackson siblings love other racial men/women. Nothing is wrong with that because I'm a black female and I love to date outside of my race. I find nothing wrong with it I don't think the Jackson siblings are not racist towards blacks if you ask me I think they like all races maybe that is what race they found love in at the time. You never know maybe Jermaine Jackson next wife might be black.

reply

Janet she just had 1 black man and that was Jermaine Dupri.

Janet was married to a black man, James Debarge.

reply

it was actually my boyfriend's theory

maybe other women don't have to measure up to their ma because they aren't Balck like her. they may not see Black women and other women the same. it may be easier just to find a non Black woman because looking for someone just like Katherine is impossible. i don't know, just a thought....

Janet also had a longterm, serious relationship with Jermaine Dupri.

That's not true that Janet doesn't date black men.

Michael was a very private person. He was inlove with Diana Ross. You don't know who he dated privately

reply

I think Michael Jackson like black women, I didn't to much buy that relationship with Debbie and Michael. Lisa and Michael were cute for each other, I think it is cute how Michael had a crush on Diana Ross and dated Stephanie Mills.

reply

Joe conditioned them to believe that black women are ugly. Guess they think theire mother is ugly too!

reply

[deleted]

Where are you getting this "Joe taught them black is unattractive."?

reply

He must have! Because he tormented Micheal about his black features and now all the brothers want nothing to do with anything black.

reply

I know he picked on Michael about his nose which was kind of large for his face at one time but I'm not convinced Joe had anything to do with the brother's supposed preference for non-black women. I wouldn't be surprised but I haven't seen enough evidence to reach that conclusion.

reply

[deleted]

I was thinking the same thing. There's nothing with dating outside your race, but the majority of the Jackson brothers and sisters seem to have a sort of problem with black women/men. Most of the grandkids and nieces and nephews are mixed who don't look like they have a trace of black ancestry. Like Michael's kids or Jermaine's youngest son. Some of the older sons and daughters have kids of their own and obviously had them by someone who is non-black, this generation of Jacksons are not black anymore.

I believe Michael had a crush on Tatiana Thumbzten from his music video The Way You Made Me Feel, she is mixed race. Katherine did try and get the two together.
