Complaint about IMDb Rating for Show

This is a ridiculous rating for the show!!! I think it shouldn't be 3.2 out of 10, instead it should be 1.0 out of 10. It's that bad of a show! It deserves that rating!

reply

it actually deserves 9/10

reply

No it deserves a 0 out of 10.

These *beep* should have been strangled at birth.

Don't let anyone ever make you feel like you don't deserve what you want.

They have to make some shows that appeal to people with low IQ's don't they, if there was only good shows on TV they'd have nothing to watch.

Hate to admit it but Snooki gives me a boner I'd tap that from here to the moon.

"They have to make some shows that appeal to people with low IQ's don't they, if there was only good shows on TV they'd have nothing to watch."

Therefore all those 'Redneck' type shows that have now appeared and seem to be multiplying like a virus.

The only reason I came here is because I'd never seen Jersey Shore before.
I presumed it was just a another American Sit Com come drama, not a Big Brother/Fly on Wall' type thing until I happened upon part of a reunion/interview show with some of the 'cast' that I finally decided to come here to see what was being said about it and what it was/is all about and what it like.

My opinion. After watching a single episode ('Gtf - Gym, Tan, Find Out Who Sammi is Texting') is that I will never watch it again.

I rate it .0001/10.
I hope that is not too harsh for the 10 people who 'like' the 'show'
From what I've read here, I find it hard believe there has been several years of this rubbish. Must be some sort of tax dodge/deduction going on for the producers going on.

-B!LL!

I still think it's better than the UK knock off Geordie Shore which somehow has a rating of 4.7. Now that show really deserves a 0/10. At least the people on Jersey Shore had a bit personality in comparison/ you could believe that some of the cast mates were genuinely friends with one another. Also the people on Geordie Shore try so hard to come up with catch phrases and it was clear in earlier seasons they were trying to be copies of the original American cast. Not that Jersey Shore is quality television but at least it was some what entertaining for the first few seasons.

Have you bought your ticket to Vulgaria yet?

I enjoy the show and have loved it since I first discovered it.
Its not the best show in the world but deserves a 7-8.5/10

people are just raging at this show just to rage lol. ppl with low IQ. give me a *beep* break. I have higher then average IQ and I am nothing like the characters on this show. but I have watched every single episode and I find it entertaining and I get involved in these peoples lives and personalities. is it an alternative universe? definitely but so what. giving this 0/10 just because you dont like it etc is the same thing as the people bashing Justin Bieber just because they dont like him.. like come the *beep* on arent you better then that? you dont like bieber? dont *beep* listen to him. you dont like Metallica?? dont lilsten to them. you dont like Shawshank Redemption? dont *beep* watch it. dont like Jersey Shore, dont *beep* watch it..

the REAL douchebags in this world is the insecure dickheads who flame a show like this, or bieber or any other from the pop culture.

get over yourselves.

reply

I couldn't have said it better myself!! I'm so sick of coming on imdb to discuss a show and having to sift through a sea of hate to find a normal discussion.
It just shows how insecure people are in their own lives that they have to get online to celebrity bash. It's pathetic!!

I Belieb that statement is all I need to know where you fit on the bell curve.

The entire purpose of the rating system is to rate your assessment of a show or movie, whether you loved it, hated it, or fall somewhere in between.

Shows like this need to go away and die. Whoever finds this type of content good, needs to have their brain tested. Why would you find this show funny? or 'cool'? What's good about it? You need to get out, get a girlfriend and get laid.

Let's see what is good about the Jersey Shore:
First of all let's just for the sake of argument assume that over 80% of what comes out of their mouth is scripted. I believe it's safe to assume that appart from the swearing and drunken slurs everything was written on a piece of paper, that is the basis of a sound and entertaining reality show. Second of all it's satirical! It uses a lot of stereotypes to push the image of a trashy youth culture, that's what these people call lifestyle. But because they choose to live their lives like this in real life they challenge the meaning of personality, an avatar that represents their expressive nature. But most of all this show captures the characters in a blur between authentic and fake like no other; because you can assume that a lot of it is staged you'd never know how much really is and are always left wondering.

Also it shows a lifestyle very different from "normal" peoples life, and that is a good premise for a "tale to be told" as we constantly try to make analogies to real life. That's what makes abstract tales like "Alice in Wonderland" and "Jersey Shore" interesting - it allows us to understand a fight between meatheads as a metaphor of how hollow certain situations are, ... people into clubbing could easily find themselves in the same situation in a drunken state, ... maybe when you talk up a drunk girl at the bar, you'd realise it could be a "Snooki" you're talking to... A character with seamingly no brain but a lot of friends, temper, bad mouth with all the implications.

I think shows like these are just a very fundamental form of entertainment and that's why olympic wrestling will never have the audience of a "sports entertainment" wrestling show from WWE. People love fake, and if you spike it up with a little sexism, a little brawl, a little slapstick then you get the perfect formula.

If you compare "Jersey Shore" to "The Anna Nicole Show" or "The Osbournes" you have to admit that of the three JS is the most interesting and least exploitative, right?
