just awful

Its pretty bad when you root for the bad guys because the plot and characters are so poorly written. I can't blame the actors, they had terrible material to work with. The directing was absurd (I know they can't actually show a wolf attack but the jarring, cut away shots during the attacks was laughable), the score was over the top bad, and the repeated close up shots of the mature malamute/wolf mix got old quick. The main character and protagonist was a whiney, blithering idiot. His rival for his love's affection was a much better protagonist. He kept cool under pressure and was a great leader. While the film built up the development of the lead male and female, I knew they were going to kill off the better (though secondary) protagonist. I would put spoiler alerts but really, save the trouble and don't bother wasting your time with this. The end where they blow up the house with a box of dynamite was sve the budget for it and so they show a one second shot of flames. Hahahahahah. Never see the house or charred remains either..like it never happened...you know, the whole turning point of the plot.
