now that i think about it,g.one obeyed the kid only in the scene where the kid plugged the game in and was training g.one...[the power yoga scene]..
in the final fight scene,g.one fights ra.one...
G.one doesnt obey the kid because it may have grown to be more independent of its master and wants to fight its way,foolish but not a coward...from the very beginning g.one has been fighting his battles alone,without anyone ordering him about...the end scene where the kid tells him how to defeat ra.one by tricking Ra.one,showed how even if a game character can fight all alone he doesnt think outside the box...

Explanations were not lame. He got it correctly.
When G.One came first time jumping on Kareena's car when they were trying to escape Ra.One, he was not controlled by the kid. So, he has got the capability to combat on his own, which is what he was created for.
But, his actions could also be controlled by the user, which is the only edge G.One has over Ra.one, since G.One's capability is not only limited to what he is programmed to do. G.One was programmed to be weak anyways, but unlike Ra.One he was not limited by his own skills, since he can be benefitted by its user's capability also.
By the way, why are we mistaking G.One to be a Robot? He is a character of a video game, not just a Robot. He is physical realization of a character created for digital world, and not a Robot which is just a physical device.
I think we need to be a bit more reasonable. We are doing more harm to ourselves (in terms of intelligence of Indians), if we are simply bashing Ra.One for not living up to the standards set by TDK. It doesn't show any signs of a proud culture, but a weak and overly-sensitive culture. Just like when a kid feels embarrased while showing his house and parents to their friends in a fear that his peers may laugh at him

g.one is quick at learning stuff....during the song dildaara,we see how he learns stuff from the tv...
so its implied that as time passes he understands whats going around him more and more ......
he didn play a caring husband...he just stated what was going on and the options he could choose...

Yes, this character was designed by Shekhar possibly in his own image to make sure that his kid will feel comfortable with it (may be that's why he liked it in his first attempt at playing it). And remember, Shekhar's colleague was the one who made last minute adjustment in G.One so that he successfully comes out of the game to save Shekhar's son.
Why do i hear this nonsense of 'why he was dancing'? Why not? Just because Hollywood doesn't have dance in their movies, it doesn't make any sense for bollywood for not having it.

satish shah charcter is the gossip guy of the colony...if he found out that G.one was a videogame charcter he would freak out and may even alert the whole colony and it will make a bigger mess...thats why g.one tries to act as a human...

im talking about out of the box ideas....like an alien that looks like a human and has extraordinary powers,or a guy who makes a suit that can pretty much do anything,or a character that crosses the line between video games and comes to reality...
indian filmmakers NEED to bring ideas and indianise them and feed the public..the youth are attracted to hollywood ideas,they want proper ghost stories instead of the same old witch in the forest....
science-fiction has no hold in india,for one main reason...we arent ready to open our minds...sure we can believe a soul of a person can be transferred to a cloned body or we can believe that a machine could exist that would let us venture into others dreams...but if an indian guy says that a video game character comes out of the game,we find it hard to swallow...we cant see "indians" do that...nope it belongs to hollywood...we rarely give them any chance to show the rest of the movie...we then sit with our hands folded ,refusing to let them explain themselves...
Ra.One isnt the worst movie out there..It neither is the greatest..It stands comfortably with a good story&amazing effects..It deserves to be given a chance,and for that you must open your minds,just as you would for any Hollywood movie...

Show me one Hollywood movie where normal protagonist flies and kicks badasses just like in Bollywood. This shows you haven't made proper study and research on both Hollywood and Bollywood. Even in Hollywood action movies, you don't see anybody flies and kicks badasses and jump from 50 feet tall building and without getting any hurt, they start fighting again. These kind of rubbish are seen only in Indian cinemas or may be, in chinese movies, but definitely not in Hollywood.

What????? Jackie Chan always gives his life and soul and do real live stunts. You are joking by pulling Jackie Chan over here. The whole world admires him because of his realistic stunts. If you are trolling, then i am not interested in having conversation with you.
And other movies you have mentioned they fall into different categories and genre. The story and characterization in those movies did justice whatever they have shown on big screen. But in Indian cinema, you will see hero as a doctor, lawyer, farmer and college student, suddenly he fights with 20 rowdies at the same time and without any scratch on his body, he just walks away and very next scene, he sing duet with heroine. These kind of rubbish can be seen only in Indian cinema.

Man i don't know whats wrong with Srk Fans....He made a bad film...admit it and get over it...Stop defending it by saying that its a first attempt by bollywood.....The first superhero movie made in hollywood may have been made in 1956 or even during WW2.... but Now the years 2011...film making has evolved...stop cutting ra.one sum slack and trash it as much as you can....Impressive CGI and a high budget doesnt necessarily mean that the movie is good....maybe its a technical achievement but not in anyway a achievement in moviemaking..we don't watch movies for Special Effects...cmon Even "Avatar" had a story....orryt im gonna point out the flaws in the movie cos im reeely bored!!!! >_<

It pains me to say this but Ra.one made wish copied sumthing from hollywood superhero movies cos Ra.one originality was unbearable...the whole concept kinda sucked i walked into the theatre expecting a masala hindi superhero but it was a movie about a damn Video game character...nuff said

Did you took terminator villian seriously? It wasn't far from this. The same technique has been done in most movies of sci-fi and horror genre. Again if you want us to change our mind about the movie, then specify some good reason.

So, what is your point? They shouldn't have killed the guy because he is a hero!! Kudos to the makers to treat the story dispassionately and as realistically as possible. Subtle emotions and less melodrama is something that is not seen much in bollywood movies.

For god sake, haven't you ever hugged a teddy bear or a soft toy? Are you saying that you are totally detached to the gadgets that you use daily, like your car or your TV? It happens man. It looks like that you have tried to act witty and funny because you have seen others making fun of this film too, but you are not quite there. lol i hated the movie cos i was dissapointed by what it promised and im trashing it because the movie for me this was one of the weakest Srk films ive ever seen...not because everyone else was trashing it XD....and please dont compare it to terminator 2 (1 of my fav movies of all time!!)...Arnie played a badasss cyborg...the character development between him and the kid was awesome while Srk played...u noe a video game character...and it was just really hard to to take him seriously.....

Bottom line is that it was veryyyy veryyyyy hard for me to take the video game thing serioiusly..thts why i couldnt sympathize for G.one i didnt care a bit for him....sure i luv my car and i have hugged a teddy bear before...but if god forbid my dad died oneday and then my teddy bear came to life and started saying things my dad would say....i wouldnt be happy by tht...nothing in this world could replace my dad...not even a video game character identical to him ^_^
