...are saying that this is a good movie without any shame. This is without any doubt one of the crappiest film ever made (after all salman khan films) but still, we can see here that bollywood don't have any good directors, music composers and other technicians. The script was so lame and everything felt to cheap and all the research was really bad done in every field. SRK have done more research about how to act like a tamil brahmain. And the CGI looks really cheap.

Bollywood are not ready for films like this yet
1. Because we don't have any good directors like S.Shanker or Mani Ratnam who can pull off this type of projects

2. We don't have Music Composers like A.R. Rahman, Harris Jayaraj. Just listen to the songs of Anniyan, Robo, Indian. That's how music should sound like, and the BMG on this films was above hollywood background scores.

3. The cinematography was terrible in Ra one. The way the filmed the hole film was just like a amateur does. The cinematography was great in MNIK even though the film was average.

How ever, even though this is a bad film. Salman Khan is the king of crappiest film ever. He makes even average good films to a terrible flick when he remakes it.

Ra.One isnt the greatest movie of this year,i agree....but it isnt the worst either...why include only salmans movies? why not add all the movies released this year? there was very few movies that were great...

Only 2 "Good directors" ...wat about anurag kashyap,yash chopra,adithya chopra,ashutosh etc

the music direction was awesome...you haters can keep piling crap against the plot,but the music has got great reviews....it seems you guys just want to add all the departments you can name of and bash the movie...
Vishal-Shekhar have done a great job...I like both Rahman and Harris Jayaraj,but they are not the only good ones out there..

cinematography was terrible?i seriously doubt if u really know wat u saying about?

CGI looks cheap?? they were 100 times better than any INDIAN movie...endhiran is a close second though.....

I also disagree on the Salman issue...The king is the one and only Akshay...atleast salmans movies became hit and thats why he keeps making them again and again...but akshay selects the worst movies and the movie flops and again he picks out a worst movie that too flops...i dono wats motivating him to do such stuff...

Bollywood is more than ready to do make bigger movies...even a first time director can try his hand at it,if given a chance....Indians have the capability to do anything..Its us Indians that criticize our fellow countrymen and pull them down by saying only few can do this and that....only Rajini can do that,only amitabh can do that,only Rahman can make rocking music etc.Ra.one dared to raise the standard of visual effects and everyone instead of praising that started nit-picking on the plot...As if we are fed on A-grade plots the whole time..

T3 as in terminator3?
why are u guys comparing it to the west?the visuals in ra.one are 100 times better than any Indian movie [endhiran a close second].....in no way is it better than hollywood but it does achieve a hollywood quality that has been missing in indian cinema...

transformers3 is a movie that has the worst application of VFX...it may look good but its one of the most idiotic&mindless action scenes hollywood has ever come up with.....

budget of transformers3 was 195million ,while ra.one's was 30million...so its obvious T3 may look better....but for that 30million ra.one did some amazing VFX...

Superhero movies can be made without excessive use of VFX. eg: Batman Begins and The Dark Knight. I agree bollywood doesn't have the budget hollywood movies have. We can't afford that. But we could have made movies like BB or TDK. It only takes a good story, good acting, good direction, good background music. The above things wouldn't have cost more that 100 crores. The amount they spent on VFX was unnecessary.

wats the common thing about both BB and TDK? Nolan...he is a legend..movies like TDK or BB arent gonna just pop out every now and then...
i agree the none of the qualities of ra.one can meet BB/TDK..but it was atleast a good attempt...the action and music was top class for a bollywood movie...Direction was just ok and acting only SRK was good[armaan too]...but comparing with bollywood movies,ra.one definitely is much better than 90% off the movies released...

Spiderman 1 and 2, Ironman 1, Batman 1989, Norton's The Incredible Hulk are very good movies. Even 1st Suerman 1978 movie is really good. Then the trend started in Hollywood too!! They think they can use VFX and forget about story. eg: Green Lantern. Horrible movie by Hollywood standard. And even Americans bash Transformers sequels!!! VFX couldn't save those movies. Thor was pretty average. Captain America was good till the interval where they built up the storyline, after that it went downhill. But still a good movie (as they made this movie as a prequel to 'The Avengers'. It served that purpose)

But I meant to say, Hollywood can afford to invest in VFX as they get their money back. Look at the collections of spiderman movies, they are almost 4 times the budget. TDK has crossed a billion dollars mark. And look at Ra.One's collections. Hardly 200-220 crores. That means the profit is only 30-40 crore which is very less considering the investment. The movie should have made at least 350-400 crores if you are selling it as "something bollywood has never come up with." That's why we should concentrate on Story, acting , directing etc. If we are creative(?) enough to write cheese lines such as 'iski lee, usaki lee, sabki lee' and 'sab ladkiya mujhpe marti hai' and all the swear words Kareena was saying, we should be able to write a good story/screenplay.

ra.one definitely is much better than 90% off the movies released...

That's because Bollywood makes the *beep* movies in the world. We should compare Ra.One to at least Indian cinema if it is too much to compare it with Hollywood.

the negative word of mouth caused ra.one to crash..no doubt..
there was a whole bunch of haters who immediately started spreading that ra.one was a big ripoff of certain hollywood movies..even people who had no idea about ra.one began to think it was crass movie...
at one stage i didn even think it would get any profit due to such bad mouthing...

A great story is a rare gem...i was saying that ra.one may not have a great story but it had a decent one..not something like ready or bodyguard or rascal etc...

Yes, negative word of mouth caused that. But Ra.One was meant to be a good super hero movie unlike Bodyguard and Rascals. Salman's movies are not meant to be taken seriously. Those movies don't promise anything other than mindless entertainment(?). Those are 3 hours of garbage. Only hard core Salman fans enjoy those kinds of movies. Sane people don't consider it as an art!!! We can't blame the audience who bad mouthed Ra.One. The movie deserved that. I am glad I watched it for free!!!

ra.one may not have a great story.

Ra.One has a decent story. The problem is not with the story, the execution was horrible. And those cheep jokes, Unnecessary sequences (the dream sequence, Rajini's cameo). Poor direction, SRK's over the top portrayal of Tamil guy. (I don't even understand why his character had to be Tamil? Was it because only Tamil people are programmers? ). Kareena's swearing, unnecessary songs, so many things!!!

You obviously havent seen T3..just have a look at the shockwave driller scene in it...and lemme know what worst appl.of cgi means!Bay is worst when comes to direction but no movie can match the standards of CGI of Transformers series

i have seen the movie...and it was 2.30 hrs of a complete waste...by saying T3 has the worst appl of CGI,i meant the CGI didnt make much sense with the story involved...That old **** Robot wanted humans to rebuild his planet [how hes gonna make them work without O2 is another mystery],but he just goes around killing them too...Shockwave driller mechanism wants to eat buildings??if so whatever hes eating isnt going inside his mouth...it was just a bunch of plain nonsense...which robot is in which team also is a big headache...

if u really want to praise movies with VFX ,u could say Avatar or even Tron could be mentioned,but T3,never.....

And don't even compare to Robot. It was 1000x times better then Ra one. SRK didn't even have a charisma in this film..my money, my time and energy..all waste on this crap.
