Things I didn't understand in Ra.One

I normally enjoy a lot of sci fi films. But this one had me confused at many stages so I was hoping someone can enlighten me with what I missed.

1) Initially in the presentation when the girl was describing the technology, what she was describing was basically projection of the image wasn't it? It wasn't as if the image was an independent object that has it's own features. It was projecting the image. So what was exactly special about that (we have seen projectors before)?

2) Was the game they developed supposed to be a VR game?

3) How can they develop a game that has 3 levels and have it ready for release WITHOUT testing all 3 levels? How would they even know the levels are working without testing it?

4) They talked about the game having AI with learning ability so the moves are not pre-programmed. How is that possible in a normal game when AI cannot be available (since it runs in a disc) unless they have central servers from which the game has to run from. Was that the case?

5) Why would they put hardware parts into a demo model placed in a showcase? In other words, when Ra.One and G.One take over the demo models, they shouldn't have the capacity to store their AI programming since the necessary hardware which was in the server machines would not be available in the models (waste of money).

6) This was not a question but a plothole. When Ra.One caused destruction and Sonia (Kareena) was running away with her son, she ran through a bloody bus in London. Even if that was possible, the cops will be swarming her trying to find the person. Her car plate no will be marked and when she gets to the Airport, she would have never been able to board the plane. Instead, there were no cops and the airport people weren't concerned when they came in and parked the car that was demolished in the no parking zone.

7) How would G.One feel emotions? He felt it quite often in the movie. It wasn't just mimicking but actually showing it. He wasn't programmed to do so (since he was a game program whose objective was to play hero. not understand human emotions) and it's not something that can be learned without actually feeling it.

There were other questions too but these were the ones that stood out to me.

BRO, if the makers had thought so deeply, this might have been india's answer to matrix...

honestly, someone like you should have written the movie,

the movie had ZERO internal logic, random stuff was happening, writers were sleeping and SRK was roaring!

actually, she specified it was not a projection. I have seen some ted talk where guy was talking about replacing one sense that person has lost, with another, and allowing the brain to work out the rest. I don't remember the details, but one was sending some sort of impulses to the tip of the tongue of blind people, and after a while, brain learned how to interpret this, so it was as if they could see.

They were also curious if they can give you new senses, not just replace lost ones, so they were sending impulses generated from stock exchange market information, down one guy's back, to see if he will learn to predict what stocks will rise, and which will fall, but obv, they didn't reveal the results.

Upon hearing that, I personally figured having a sense that allows me to tap into radio waves would be perfect - I could have internet access with no devices, and no monthly bill. when she did her little trick, my assumption was that they found a way to "translate" rf that is everywhere around us, into "signal" our senses can interpret (see and touch in case of the picture)

Was the game they developed supposed to be a VR game?

I would think so as both chinese guy with japanese name and kid played it in such a way.

3) How can they develop a game that has 3 levels and have it ready for release WITHOUT testing all 3 levels? How would they even know the levels are working without testing it?

I think they didn't know, hence the plot of the movie.

4) They talked about the game having AI with learning ability so the moves are not pre-programmed. How is that possible in a normal game when AI cannot be available (since it runs in a disc) unless they have central servers from which the game has to run from. Was that the case?

Obviously something was pre-programed, AI's job is to develop upon that, and as for servers, it does seem to be the case, the chinese guy with japanese name was killed in server room. In any case, movie didn't go into details and it hardly seems relevant.

5) Why would they put hardware parts into a demo model placed in a showcase? In other words, when Ra.One and G.One take over the demo models, they shouldn't have the capacity to store their AI programming since the necessary hardware which was in the server machines would not be available in the models (waste of money).

actually, that entire part is nonsense, even if game character did download into a suit, and it somehow worked, the mythology of it needing a heart, or having super powers would not get downloaded - I mean, can you imagine such technology, we'd be able to do intergalactic travels with no danger whatsoever. Movie seems to suggest that tech from 1st question allowed for this "download" to happened, but that would mean simply disconnecting the system would disable the ra.one.

6) This was not a question but a plothole. When Ra.One caused destruction and Sonia (Kareena) was running away with her son, she ran through a bloody bus in London. This was not a plot hole, it was a joke. It's like when character has a bomb blow up in his face, which he survives, but his face is charred and his hair is all up.

It's amazing you think it's a plot hole.

7) How would G.One feel emotions? He felt it quite often in the movie. It wasn't just mimicking but actually showing it. there's so much wrong with this question. for starters, I don't think he was showing emotions trough out the movie. ffs, when she was crying, he said "naclh2o" - who the hell would describe that as showing emotions? then again, I don't think you need to learn emotions, that sounds like a load of crap. emotions are hormones and neurotransmitters, and your body produces those as a reaction to outside stimuli. With that in mind, he wouldn't be able to have any emotions cause he's metal and has no glands. he could however learn how to understand emotions of others, and how to react to them better, so that in future he wouldn't say naclh2o, which is similar to what aspies do, but unlike aspies, he will never be able to actually feel any of those things.
