Kind of offended...

I graduated from a small liberal arts college with a not-so-great football record. The college is Presbyterian College, located in South Carolina (home of the gameCOCKS), and PC's mascot is the BLUE Hose. PC just started playing in Div I-AA in 2006 and last year were on TV a couple of times (for both football & basketball). I wonder if the writers of this farce heard about my distinguished alma mater and thought "this sounds like the beginning of a comedy"?

reply

I doubt it.

I'm kinda offended another Andy Dick movie has been made.

It's such a fine line between stupid and clever.

reply

And yet you watched it...

reply

Wrong. I saw the trailer for it.

It's such a fine line between stupid and clever.

reply

The director who also played the QB played division III football. I imagine it was written based on his own experience.

reply

Obviously all of that moron Abdy Dick's friends have been voting it up - it only has 71 votes and has achieved a rating of 7.1. Zero is too high for this turkey - it's offensive and so is he.

To the OP, I know you posted this a year ago, but I'm sure this movie was not biting off of Presbyterian, the Delaware Blue Hens, or any other school with the word 'blue' in the mascot's name.

I keep up with a lot of college football, and I know one reason that Presbyterian was able to move up to 1AA is because of the success that they had at the DII level. Making the playoffs and competing for the national title was a pretty regular occurrence for them in the late 90s, early 2000s, not to mention all the SAC conference titles.

And they have had several guys make it to the NFL the past few years.

I'm king of offended at you being offended.
