Unfortunately, I wasn't able to watch it here.

The screening venues were few that it sort of become an indie film.
I guess we need Hollywood to make it commercially available.
I live in the Philippines by the way.

None of Sayles' films get wide distribution as a rule. It was a long time before he even got a distributor. I think Variance Films finally agreed but not sure how many cities it will open in. But I see it is listed as 'Limited' release.
And yes, Sayles is pretty much an Indie film maker. You didn't say where in the Philippines you live. But odds are you will have it showing closer to you than I will here in the US.
I did find this online.....

Showing at the following theaters on JULY 6, 2011: SM North Edsa, SM Mega Mall, SM Mall of Asia (with English subtitles), SM Bacoor, SM Cebu (with English subtitles), SM Davao, SM Manila , TriNoma, Glorietta 4 (with English subtitles), Robinson's Galleria, Robinson's Ermita, Gateway.

And this Pinoy site has other info along with listings etc. As well as request option for screenings for schools etc.

At a recent screening of Amigo at The Upstate Theatre in Rhinebeck NY, Sayles explained that this film was not picked up for distribution, which is why so few people have had an opportunity to see it. It is not on DVD; at present it is only available instantly on Netflix.
