Excellent Movie

I really liked this movie. First, it's not a zombie movie. So anyone looking for that, it's not. However, it's a really good movie.

The movie is about two college guys who take part in a drug trial at a private clinic. They are told it's just for an allergy drug, but of course, that's not what it is.

The side effects result in lots and lots of gore, cannibalism, blood, death, insanity. There are some great scenes in this movie.

Tricia Helfer from Battlestar Galactica is playing the doctor here. But her role seems kind of minor. She administers the drugs and does a few other things to up her experiments. But we never really get to know her character.

Eric Roberts makes a cameo appearance at the end.

I liked the movie because you never knew what was going to happen. Each day they got a dose of the drug, you didn't know what side effects were coming. And the movie really delivers on that. It was worth the watch.

Glad to see someone liked it; I came on here fully expecting a bunch of hate! Also, without spoiling anything, I thought it ended perfectly to make a possible second movie :)

yes, this movie surprised me, i thought it's gonna be like the vile where they take "something" of a human being for monetary gains. my husband guessed it right from the title it's gonna be "resident-evil", it is to a certain extent, remember how the virus was also intended for good but ended up creating zombies all over the world. anyway, this is not RE so i'll stop here. :) hehe.

spoilers

so is aaron the good guy or bad guy? from the last scene of him saving the main 2 guys, seems like he also injected himself with Ravezin thus he didn't die. but i noticed he has strangulation mark on his neck unlike the rest of the subjects in the experiment as they perfectly healed their cuts.

what will the sequel be like then? i agree the ending was setup for sequel. ;)

I really liked it a lot, actually. Original concept, neat to watch, and I thought both lead guys were really likeable. Especially Travis's character.

Tricia Helfer made for a pretty interesting villain too. Honestly, the only thing I DIDN'T care for was the very, very ending. Which was pretty predictable, stereotypical, and poor. Doesn't ruin it though, and definitely worth a watch

Yes, the ending was the same as about 20 episodes of The Outer Limits, 90s version.

If it had been a zombie film, I still would have liked it, but I liked it anyway!
I thought it really spoke to a few important things: Big pharma, exploiting people who need money, clinical trials, dangers of zealotry/desperation as a result of funding cutting, and scientists who become so obsessed with results that they forget what drew them to this life (helping people, making discoveries, I hope!)
I really liked the one poor guy who is the main character - he convinces his buddy Rob to get involved and is all gung ho, but ends up being the "hero" and the one person who has morals and knows when enough is enough. Plus he still tried to save his buddy after everything. I really wish he didn't have to pay the price in the end. The others really deserved to pay the price. He did not. I felt bad for the nurse to a degree, even though she still caved so she could get a new car; the orderly/nurse guy at the end was partially ridiculous and took away credibility of the film - made it somewhat supernatural; yet, at the same time, when you think about what RXZ19 did, it isn't surprising they used him in the end to catch the runaway boy!

Drunk, Fat, and Stupid is no way to go through life, son.

I thought it was a pretty good horror movie. The acting was really pretty good too, especially from Travis. I think that made a big difference. Most horror movies suck becuase they hire awful actors.

Horror movie? Come one, it was a ridiculous, naive and disgusting piece of crap! In addition boring and with terrible acting.
