In factual errors they mention buttons and wedding bands, but say nothing about makeup on women's faces?

The makeup on Katie and her mother was incredibly distracting in this film, and really inappropriate. It utterly spoiled the experience; you cannot suspend disbelief when every image is so glaringly inaccurate.

Thank you. There are many old school Mennonites and some Amish living around here and this just drove me nuts.

I noticed an old refrigerator in their kitchen, and they don't use electricity.
