The movie was actually awesome

Just seen the film. And I heard bad reviews and people not liking it. And after I seen it, I was actually impressed. I don't know why people think it was sooo TERRIBLE or BAD. It was actually intense, creppy, and scary. The ending could have been better, but that doesn't mean the overall film is bad.

I agree ^^. I watched this movie today and was actually on the edge of my seat a couple times, hehe.

this movie gave me diarrhea it's why I was on the edge of the couch.. I'm glad I did not pay full theater ticked price to see this crap

Also agreeing, the contortions had me wondering how they achieved that.

Actually thought the ending was a hell, no pun intended, of a risk that they pulled off. Am amused by the people posting here trying to justify why they simply didn't get what the movie was doing.

About the only problem I had was why exactly they decided it would be safe to take Isabella in the car to the other Priest. On the bright side, three of us that watched the movie are still debating points in it, not something we normally do for Boredwood conveyor belt horror flicks.

I would drop about 7 out of 10 on this one, nice to see someone trying something slightly off beat with a movie's conclusion rather than cookie cutting it.

They handled the contortions by getting a contortionist, at least for the first exorcism. Not sure how they did Isabella's bit.

reply

Exactly. They were dealing with what appears to be the devil himself and I don't know why they thought they would be able to make it to the Vatican unscathed.

It's simple: mainstream movie goers simply don't know good Horror when they see it anymore. Most of them are sheep that base their opinion on word of mouth more than actually watching a film. In any case, IMDB is probably the least reliable site in the world to look for reviews anyway (has been for about a decade now).

And even if a person genuinely disliked this film, there is no way in hell it's worse than the likes of Stay Alive or Mirrors, which have much higher ratings on here. It just shows how reliable someone's opinion is when they put a rather decent film like this one in the same category as Uwe Boll's work.

IMDB is officially a cesspool. I actually watched the film on Netflix of all things. I was warned to stay away from the film and when I actually decided to watch it I was shocked at how much I enjoyed it. Even the cold shower ending. I rated it a 6/10, not the worst movie ever made, nor a masterpiece.

What is wrong with people?

reply

I agree with you, this wasn't a bad film, most people don't have an opinion, they want to hear other people's opinion so they form their own.

Thank you

7/10 from me. Most viewers need plot-driven, with conflict resolution these days.

It's probably the worst movie ever made ...
I hope the producers and writers never ever make another film again

reply

This is hardly the worst film ever made :) you must not have seen too many films.

I really enjoyed the movie. I'm surprised at the amount of hate it gets.

reply

It felt like a bad reality tv show mixed with cliches stolen from much better horror movies.
